Ibis Budget Hotels from $48/Room @ Ibis Hotels

(Found at https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/travel/2021/03/ibis-budget-la…)

Note prices below in NZD, so at best estimate, NZ48 is AUD44, but given the $48 and 48 hours, I suspect it'll be $48 in Australia too.

Ibis Budget is launching a 48 hour sale at midday on Friday with its lowest prices ever, offering hotel rooms for as low as $48 per room per night.

The hotel chain says it offers a "comfortable and affordable accommodation offering" which includes its "signature sleep experience, the Sweet Bed".

All bookings will be fully flexible so customers don't have to worry about potential COVID-19 outbreaks and subsequent alert level changes costing them extra.

Ibis Budget has multiple hotels in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, as well as premises in Canberra, Adelaide and Dubbo.

In Auckland Ibis Budget has two locations - one is located on Wyndham Street in Auckland Central and the other on Leonard Isitt Drive, near Auckland International Airport.

The regular room rate at Ibis hotels in Auckland is just over $100.

  • Does that include breakfast ?

    • I do not recall ever having breakfast included at an ibis.

      • Their website suggested to me that maybe they might?

You probably have to pay seperately.

They serve breakfast (the one near the airport in Sydney at least does), but the $48 price very likely does not include breakfast.

ibis budget was the F1 motel rebrand, it is the cheapest motel under the normal ibis, follow with the novotel I remember.
So the deal would be working on the ibis budget only.

    • Thought Breakfree was lower.

  • Offer is for Ibis Budget, not the Ibis hotels. Usually at airports. (Beaten by better comment, while checking difference.)

I'm just going to put this out there for the sake of awareness. In Melbourne CBD, some of the Ibis budget were used to house the homeless during lockdown covid (and some are still being put up there) by the government.

I wouldn't stay there from what I saw on the outside throughout 2020 (my office is a few doors up)

Tbh the ibis (not even the budget one) in Melbourne before lockdown was a bit of a hole.

  • You get what you pay for … Even worst in oz

  • We have stayed at the Melbourne airport one before a 6am flight out. It served that purpose.

  • You can also buy Accor gift cards at 10% off but I don't know whether you can stack with a deal like this.

Actually I’ve stayed at a few Ibis places in Europe and they have been pretty basic but quite clean. Breakfast was never included in the price. I haven’t stayed in one in Australia.
