Pros: halogen is a much nicer light than LED. 100% CRI etc
Cons: 5W halogen is not a lot of lumens :)
18 lumens is 1.5 candlepower. OK for a path marker, but truly pathetic for a spotlight.
A cheap 1W LED is about 60 lumen.
4 light @ 5W each (total: 20W), included transformer size 20W, ie no extra capacity? I understand you need spare capacity, do you have any bigger transformer to go with this kit to operate satisfactory?
It's a good deal in terms of what's included. Those items bought separately do cost considerable more.
However, halogen longevity is a concern.
