  • Nice, thank you. Wonder if this will make it into a parcel locker, let's find out.

    • +3

It won't. Had to pick up from post office last time

      • You were correct! While the box could fit, seems they had heavy warning stickers all over and brought it out on a trolley.

    • I've successfully picked one up from a parcel locker.

Nice, works out to be 58c per can which is cheaper (or same as the Amazon S&S price). Prefer to pick it up myself

      • The Woolworths deal is for a 30-pack, which is 64c per can (at least here in WA).

        • Wow I didn't realise the price was so different between states, although it would make sense.

      • Still a lot for a cup of brown sugar water imo.

        • Flagged as personal attack - I drink Caffeine Free No Sugar

Jus bought a 30 pack from woolies for $17.22.

    • +4

It usually cheaper in VIC, due to no CDS (Container Deposit Scheme).

The 30 Pack in NSW is currently $19.45.

Having a bit of a whine here but it feels a bit unfair that anytime this goes on sale, Amazon drop their unit price to match and end up getting on the front page of OzBargain, getting traffic that they don't really deserve. Not just Coke, heaps of things.

    • +9

I'm guessing the "bargain" is getting the free delivery (if you're a prime member).

Saving money on petrol (at the expense of the delivery man) and the time of going to the supermarket, parking, buying the item, taking it back to your car and driving home is worth it.

      • -2

Yep all those things plus s&s qualify it as a bargain. I'm just whining about the fact that Amazon's lazy promotions get them front page ozb traffic undeservedly. But I fully expect this to be an unpopular opinion.

        • +1

Is it really undeservedly though if you're getting a decent deal and getting it shipped to your place free and quick?

          • @Duplicity: By that logic, every Amazon price match deal that has sufficient stock and doesn't have a min. order quantity should be a front page deal.

    • +13

Amazon is convenient. Woolworths don’t have a one click and it shows up at my front door option.

  • wait until s&s price below $20

  • +3

I much prefer to get the heavy or bulky things delivered to my door.. such as coke, laundry detergents, nappies, toilet paper etc
Lucky I also have a $10 off promo by using the amazon app.. plus ShopBack/CR.

    • +2

Why didn’t somebody remind me about the 0.00% ShopBack/CR sooner!!?

    • I'm in the same boat - I've driven to the supermarket once since I had my baby last year in May and buying the bulky items from Amazon has made this possible! I have two Coles and an Aldi that are about a kilometre away and we walk there two or three trips a week, and while I have an awesome pram that fits HEAPS, a box of cans or huge pack of loo roll just isn't going to work! Gets me some exercise and some weeks I don't need to drive at all, so I hope that makes up for the carbon footprint created from delivery!

Cheaper to buy the 12 1.25L bottles right? Link

    • Is that including the 10 cent deposit on cans?

      • 1.25L (and 2L) bottles have a 10c deposit too.

        • 1.25L of 375ml cans = 3.33 x 10c deposits
          2.00L of 375ml cans = 5.33 x 10c deposits

    • And they have vanilla

  • -2

We're boycotting Coke after their racisim telling us not to be white.

Anyway it rots your teeth, PH of 2.

  • dose amazon even add 10c extra on per can for can/bottle 10c recycling scheme states?

    • The CDS is already factored into the price of the product from Coca-Cola.

      • what about non CDS states? is it cheaper on amazon for them?

        • Amazon has standard pricing for all of Australia, hence why it cheaper to buy it from Woolworths in VIC.

        • I never even thought to check if a can ordered from Amazon says 10c or 5c. I’m so used to all containers saying 10c.

          • @AustriaBargain: what 5c?

I just wanted to see Amazon delivers to non CDS states cheaper but I guess not. Everyone pays the same… sucks to be non CDS then

  • Works out to 58 cents per can, which is only 1 cent more for VIC customers. So you're paying 36 cents more in VIC and it gets delivered to your door, it's a no-brainer!

  • -4

58c a can is correct excluding 10c refund

but what do you mean 36c more in VIC… show your calculations

    • I think he's referring to each can costing 1c more, which result in the 36 pack costing 36c more.

      • -2

        cool

    • he's saying that you're paying one cent extra per can for Amazon versus Woolies - therefore 36 pack is 36 cents extra for the whole thing

      • -2

        cool

    • who negged me?????? grrrrrr lol

  • -2

Interesting…. within minutes of placing an order I received an Amazon scam call. Never received one before and haven’t had a scam call in months? Don’t think it’s coincidental. I’d say someone within Amazon is passing along numbers. Scummy!!

    • … or you need to run a virus check?

      • -2

Nah wouldn't be that - I guess you never know but I am tech savvy enough to keep my devies safe. Also, I ordered from the Amazon App on my iPhone which isn't jailbroken or anyhing like that. Amazon account has 2FA and no other sessions are logged in. Could just all be coincidental.
