Budget Bluetooth speaker with great battery life, usually closer to $65-90.

It seems only black is available at this price.

EDIT: Seems like it's $0.25 off the record low on CamelCamelCamel, so a pretty good deal!

I can speak to the great battery life, brought it as a wireless speaker for my pc and was surprised by how infrequently I have to charge it, to the point each time it warns me I can't remember when I last charged it

How is the sound quality? Is the bass deep?

      • +4

For the price, the sound quality is pretty good.
When I got this speaker last year I was initially disappointed with the sound, but that's because I am accustomed to listening to Bose speakers. However, that's an unfair comparison because of the big difference in price.

If bass is a top priority then you may have to look at spending a bit more than $38.

I use the Anker as music/podcast speaker for my kitchen, and I'm happy with its performance, plenty loud and no issues with bluetooth connectivity. Well worth it at this price.

How long roughly, ballpark? Days, weeks, months.

      • months for me, but I switch between headphone and this

I’ve been using this for several months.
GREAT speaker for the price. Nice quality build.
Crisp sound. Don’t purchase if all you want to hear is bass.

  • I got the creative one but no plug in….

    • found it .

  • Dad has bought one (from AliExpress) to replace the shitty internal speakers of a flatscreen TV in a little holiday home…2 years ago or something? Very happy with it and like others said, barely has to charge it, doesn't remember how often he does it.

  • Can you use it as pc speaker using audio in cable?

  • I have the soundcore 2, not sure if they are the same. But pretty great battery life and sound

    • I have both, the Soundcore 2 has a lot more bass.

  • Is it better than jbl flip 4 ?

  • Thanks I needed one, perfect timing.

Sound is average, wouldn't suggest using for music. Fine for spoken word and videos on Youtube. I found the constant tones when you are doing stuff and it it connected to your phone or tablet to be extremely annoying.

So you're annoyed at the speaker because it's playing the exact sounds your phone is telling it to?

      • No I believe he may be talking about the connection sound or beep when you connect to a phone or when you touch volume up/down

Larry, can I have a W… and I'd like to solve it.

      - just make sure you put the dot in the right place, whatever you do!!

  • Bought one at full price about a couple of months ago. Wanted primarily for aux-in to connect to my monitor for TV/Music. Decided to try and save some room on the desk. There was no real bass and the aux-in (which was what I really wanted it for) would only give me mono sound. Took Anker support over a week to actually confrm that aux-in should be stereo. BT sound was fine and battery life was great . Decided to return it and pony up the difference and buy a set of Edifier R1280DB when on deal instead as not really needed for portable use.

  • I'm not particularly tech savy but how would the Anker compare to this 1 from auspost for $19? Ipx7, 10hr battery life, 2 x 5w speakers.

Other than the much lower battery life that is… Would sound quality be much different? Will be using it at home and can charge whenever so battery life isn't a deal breaker for me.

Average quality sound, terrible support from Anker. Apparently if you leave their battery completely drained for sometime, they never come back up even if you try to charge. Anker refuses to acknowledge issue and refuses to replace either. Not buying Anker products again.

This can happen to ALL li-ion batteries, not just anker. Hardly ankers fault for you misusing it.

      • Agreed, this is common knowledge…

        • I didn’t know this… now I’m worried about my li-ion drill & sander..

          • @Rimzi: yeah, this is why I just buy corded tools now after losing mine. I want decent ones i can keep for 25 years but as I don't use them overly regularly, I don't want to have my house full of chargers for no reason instead of tools packed away hassle free.

Many well designed products will have safeguards in place to prevent you from fully draining a lithium ion battery ie they'll force turn off at 10%.

      • You can jumpstart some batteries so that they will start to take a charge again, although some obvious dangers in doing so.

  • Does this have a 3.5mm aux port?

    • +1

      Yes, on the side

      • Cheers 👍

  • Not in the same price range but i have the soundcore motion plus ($160) and i would say it is really good, pretty much better in every way than jbl charge and ue boom speakers in terms of sound quality and battery life. Even has decent waterproofing i took it out drunk kayaking a few weeks ago and it was heavily splashed with water for like an hour and had no issues tho it is pretty heavy and would sink for sure.

  • 24 hours battery life? Ok you win it! Thx OP.
