  • Interested in something for smart blinds, but still over my budget, wondering if it will lower it further :)

      https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-smarterhome-smart-blinds-…
I have this one. No issues so far, and can be used with Tuya app instead of Kogan. I've got it set up in Home Assistant with Local Tuya integration so I can cut it off from the interent too.

      • I use all of my Kogan devices with Tuya app, works well.
I was also look for smart blinds but couldn't find a cheaper one than the Kogan one

      • That looks pretty good value! Thank you.
I'd prefer zigbee but budget wins out for now.

We have a zigbee version coming soon! Stay tuned.

Highly recommend Zigbee version Aqara blind and curtain motors if you have power point nearby(they have battery version, but I have no experience). Have a total of 20+ in my home, been using for 4 months now, never had any issue.

  • Interested in the 2/3/4 gang switches, along with double power points. These are wifi (google/alexa) controlled or just by their RF remote / phone app?

    • I think you need an RF hub (Such as RM4 Pro) for WiFi/App control.

      • Yes, you are correct. You can use the broadlink rm4 pro or the Bond Bridge to control these devices through app or voice control.

  • For those who have these or other similar RF switches, how do you find them? What is the downsides/limitstions of these over say Zigbee? Is it just a distance thing?
Having a single story, fairly short house (35m max length), will these maintain a stable, solid connection with no dropouts etc (assuming I buy the hub).
And also, is there any issues with master/slaving a hallway light that turns on and off at either end (sick of physical switches being out of position lol)

      Hello Tuttle,

These devices have limitations. Mainly that the controller will not know which state they are in (on or off) The controller sends the signal to switch the device but there is no feedback from the switch which will tell the controller that it has switched. Zigbee, z-wave and wifi have 2-way communication.

These devices don't require the neutral wire and that is why we offered this range as a solution for our customers but now we have a zigbee range that also does not require the neutral wire, so that is our best solution, hence why we are selling off the RF switches.

      Hope this helps.
