Goes for $1399 at PLE every now and then, best to snipe around the site during their ETA date
Even then you have to question whether it’s even worth 450 more (it’s not), especially when you consider that retail is $1049 for 6800XT

In relation to the excellent deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/613239 there doesn't appear to be that much difference in the specs, however the MSRP on this MERC is $USD 579 (AUD $760) against $USD499 (AUD $650) for the QICK CORE. Premiums over MSRPs aren't too bad.

I just bought a MSI 3060 for $900 yesterday off FB marketplace. He met me with receipt, all legit. He bought 2 from Harris Technology for $899.
I guess the lower prices of components will absorb some of the costs. CPU is around $100 to $150 less. Build cost will only slightly be over budget.
