    • I’m looking at getting this mainly for 4k60. Reviews say it’s not 4k60
HEYMIX USB C Hub 8IN1 USB C Adapter 4K60Hz USB C to HDMI, 100W Power Charging, Gigabit Ethernet,3 USB 3.0, SD/TF Card Reader, USB C Dock Compatible Apple MacBook Pro 13/15 (Thunderbolt 3) https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08DM49ZCH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_f…

      • 4k60 must work with dp1.4 and graphic card also need support, the monitor display also need setup. But it seems most of people only know usb c output and think it will works automatically…

You can have a try. If not, I refund full money back:)

        • I’m a bit confused, if 4k60 requires dp1.4 then why isn’t there a dp port? I have two AOC U2790VQ which states 4k 60hz with hdmi 2.0 and dp 1.2

I have just purchased a M1 Mac mini. I’ll use one of the two thunderbolt ports for an external ssd. That leaves me with the hdmi 2.0 port and a thunderbolt port to run both monitors. Which of your USB hubs is going to get me running both monitors at 4k 60hz?

          • +1

@Pennypacka: The world of USB C, DP Alt mode, hubs, and power can be a bit finicky. I think auselect is saying if your Mac supports dp1.4 via DP alt mode on the USB C port (pretty sure it does!) then it should work.

It should work, just send it back for refund if it doesn't :)

            • @DJ: Correct. Tks for explain

          • @Pennypacka: NOTE: 4K@60Hz is only available for laptop with DP1.4 Alt Mode enabled! If the host just supports DP1.2, it will only output max 4K@30Hz!

  • I'm a bit unclear about PD related standards. Would anyone know if this will charge a PD-compatible Dell laptop that needs a 60W charger?

    • -1

nope, max output is 45W for laptop

      • Says USB c pd max 60w.

      • it claims these ratings so it should be able to charge a laptop at 60W

        5V-3A
        9V-3A
        15V-3A
        20V-3A

    • C=60w
      C +QC = 60+18
      C + 3 USB = 60+12
      C +3 usb + QC= 45+12+18

  • Will this charge the Macbook Air m1? It ships with a USB C 30w

    • +1

      Yep.

      • thanks!

  • This will Super Charge the Galaxy S21+?

    • No, you need a charger that supports PPS.

The "other" Heymix chargers do support PPS, although I found them a tiny bit slower/lower wattage than my genuine samsung ones, but not enough to cause real concern.
