I dunno man, these seem hit and miss? Barista Express is $715 at Appliances online. BES878 is $879. 880 is $1346.
But the 840 infuser is cheaper at DJs.

    • Looking at getting the Breville Barista Express - any comments/feedback from owners?
Price comes down under $700 with the EGG10 code on Good Guys site. Also, mentions $100 store credit when click & collecting. Very tempted, but would love to find it closer to $600.

I love mine as an entry level manual machine. But I paid $400 at a breville outlet 18 months ago.

      • Yeah seems to be the go to entry level machine for coffee lovers- while this 30-50% discount on paper sounds great, this machine is often seen at around $550…

      • Someone posted this deal that might help! https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/614430

If the Nespresso Creatista Plus is on sale, highly recommend it, it's one of the best Nespresso machines, low maintenance and great coffee. Been using mine since January and love it.

I second this, looked at a few different ones and this machine when on sale is best bang for buck as a pod machine.

      • I went to Nespresso a few weeks ago as my old latissima plus tends to make burnt flavoured coffee. The guy made a coffee with a Nespresso vertuo machine and I was disappointed that it too treated a bit burnt. Is that a general Nespresso thing? I thought it was just our machine.

          Stay away from the new Vertuo line for the following reasons;
          1. You're stuck with only their pods, not that it's a bad thing, as I think the Nespresso pods are the best, but sometimes I do like the other brands, especially half price Starbucks from Woolies/Coles.
          2. The Vertuo line has been skewered since launch, machines leaking left right and centre, the machines are just not that reliable.

Pick up a Creatista, awesome machine, and barely any maintenance to be done, and as I said, loving the coffee.

  • The DeLonghi magnifica s cost 779 at the official website so it's more like a $50 discount. HN sells it for 749. If you wanted this machine it's slightly cheaper but don't be fooled by David Jones into thinking this is a bargain of any sort.

  • Anyone recommend the Breville Dynamic Duo over something like a Rancilio Silvia V6 with Eureka Manuale grinder? Similar price for both options right now.

    • I would probably get the Breville Dynamic Duo, sell the grinder, and get another grinder like the Eureka or Baratza grinder at the similar $400-500 price point.

    • I would definitely say that while the product is great, this is definitely not a true ozbargain deal - the dynamic duo has consistently been "on sale" between $1550-$1700 at any time at a range of physical and digital stores - that RRP is grossly inflated due to bad individual pricing.

Can't speak for the Eureka grinder but the Breville smart grinder plus seems to be doing a good job, steps are half as fine as a Barista Express machine I used to own.

    • Eureka grinders are awesome, I just bought a mignon specialita to pair it with a Dual Boiler I got cheap at DJ. Rancilio probably wont be as user friendly as a breville but they are not selling them seperately anymore unless you get lucky like me.

Check out espressocoffeeshop.com you can get a rancilio with specialita for around $1200ish aud.

      • Did you get your Eureka from espresso coffee shop? Can you say how much you paid and how your experience was?

        • Yep I filled out a request for discount form and they sent me a code. Paid 350 euro (539aud) inc shipping and had it delivered within a week from Italy. Got mine only last week.

Awesome experience with no issues, I was reading through this thread which led me to their shop - https://www.home-barista.com/grinders/eureka-mignon-silenzio…
