too heavy for me. 2.18 Kg!

    • That's way too heavy for 13"

    • +17

I think thats the whole package weight. Looks like the laptop itself is only about 1.3kg https://www.notebookcheck.net/Dell-Inspiron-13-7306-2-in-1-i…

      • +1

Yeah, Dell’s webpage says starting at 1.274kg. 2.2kg would be really heavy for a 13”

        • +25

          says starting at 1.274kg

Laptop gets heavier when ssd gets full.

          • +5

@xoom: I downloaded more ram and now my laptop is 17kgs, don't do it

            • @Merlict: dont forget to remove the screen saver! extra 5 kg saving

          • +3

@xoom: Yeah the mistake was going Solid State Drive, should've gone Gas State Drive.

          • @xoom: phew, I was keep thinking laptops get heavier when I downloaded too much pxxn. No stress now. Thanks

          • +2

@xoom: Fun fact: SSDs actually get lighter when you fill them with data.

            (sorry for being that guy)

            • @Yumi: Even more fun fact. Wether they get lighter or heavier. The difference will be so negligible to a vast majority of users that it would mean little to them.

              • @xoom: This might sound rude but.

                No shit.

Dell's bloatware adds an extra kilo.

  • Is this Australian stock and how long is the warranty?

    • It's sold by Amazon au. So very likely Australian stock.

      • Looking for extended warranty option

I have the 15inch version of this and think the cooling system is lacking. Also I got the 15inch model cheaper than this so not sure if this is the best deal.

    • +3

13" models are always more expensive because they're more compact and lightweight

      • +1

I have seen the opposite to be true when searching for a 15inch touchscreen. Also the Inspiron 13 is significantly cheaper than the 15 in dell website with similar spec.

  • I ended up returning an inspiron 15 because of bluetooth mouse lag. YMMV.

    • Wow. So you have a BT mouse that doesn't lag except on a Dell?

      • yes

        • Same here while on MacBook Air works perfectly even in LoL

Couldn't resist, reasonably priced with 16GB, touch, hdmi2 and thunderbolt. Pretty sweet deal.

no way, no, never buy Dell PC, the worst manufacturer, stay away!

    • +2

What makes you say that? They're a pretty reputable manufacturer. Their products often last a few years depending on the product line, and their support is pretty decent. A lot of people have to use their support. But they're not bad machines.

  • They have it 40% off at Dell

There is difference between the silver and black model

    300nit screen
    100% sRGB coverage

finally a machine that doesn't compromise display quality.

however it's pretty par for the course for Dell, as opposed to HP and Lenovo with their terrible screens in budget segment. and their "budget" extends to $2000 dammit

with Dell - you still need to check the specs sheet to make sure screen is good. but you can find laptops with screens suitable for photo editing as low as $1000 on various specials and sales

    • can you name some other models that are worth looking out for in regards to photo editing? would love a decent photo editing machine <$1k

        https://www.dell.com/en-au/outlet/refurbished-inspiron-15-75…

best bang for your buck is refurbished Dell from Dell Outlet. same warranty as new

this laptop has 8bit panel with close to 100% sRGB

also can game on it (gtx 1650 on board)

        I have one, it's fantastic

        • damn that's sweet.

you could prob earn a buck a day with it aswell not that you would…
