Looks like very good value. Ingredients list looks quite excessive though, i try to limit the junk my dog ingests.

Thanks Op. Looks like the other sizes are available for the same price as well.

    Greenies Teenie Dog - 1kg
    Greenies Regular Dog - 1kg
    Greenies Large Dog - 1kg

Just note they are all still 1kg, so before being impulsive and jump on the large size, it doesn't matter (remember the tonne of bricks vs. the tonne of feathers riddle at school?)

That's not what this is. You can't give large dogs the tennie trix, they wouldn't even chew them.

        • Well, that's still what it is though. It's a tonne of both, but I'm not using a tonne of feathers to build a house…

Read the online reviews of these.
Been using them for a bit now, but my dog recently had to go to the emergency vet due to a stomach obstruction caused by this.

    • Yeah, glycerin in particular i try to avoid in dog treats. Can give dogs all sorts of tummy and toilet issues. I recall reading they changed the receipe for these from wheat flour to pea flour so they could slap a grain free label… as if they aren't bother borderline useless fillers. Common gripes with most of these so called dental treats.

    • Thank you so much for this comment, you’ve potentially saved my boy from trouble as I had NO idea and have been giving him one a day for a couple of months now.

I have proceeded to throwing out the rest of them and won’t ever give these horrible things to him again unless they drastically change their ingredients.

I messed up big time by listening solely to vet’s recommendations and not researching the ingredients list myself.

I won’t make this mistake again and I urge other pet owners the same.

  • Normally don't like giving these 'dental' treats to my dog because I know it's not the most healthy treat you can give, but started giving these once every couple of days just because she loves it. Tempted to get some more but think I will resist…

Not worth the risk. We tried these and saw our dog struggle first hand. There are plenty of other alternatives

Would you be able to share some recommendations please??

        https://stumpsandrumps.com/blog/greenies-are-bad
        This website recommends the following:
        Beef Pizzle (Bullysticks)

        Pig. Lamb, or Cow ears

        Raw Duck or Chicken Feet

        Beef Tendon

        Beef Trachea

        Raw Turkey Necks

We've been giving our dog goat horns, and Roo tendons and she's been good. With anything chewy though, they should always be supervised. Comment below me mentioned an obstruction, which can happen with anything chewy. Greenies, or otherwise.

        • Thanks for that link, the ingredients list is damn horrific!

How these are allowed to be marketed as healthy and effective when those ingredients actually cause detrimental long term dental hygiene is sort of baffling.

  • I will buy purely because you told me I would be barking mad if I didn't.

I give these maybe twice a week - had an obstruction with a bone, never again.

All dogs are different and you should listen to your vets advice… My dog had them almost every day for his entire, long life and absolutely loved them. As he got older and went through unrelated medical issues, it was the greenies that actually kept him eating when it was otherwise a struggle.
