  • What power source does it use?

    • USB-A it looks like. You'll have to plug it into a cigarette lighter or a port somewhere.

    • Looks like a USB, like you plug it into a ciggee lighter to USB power socket, and then the 3.5mm into your AUX port. Think unless you really really really hate having to charge it every other day, you'd do better to buy the other one for 40 cents more.

That being said, there's plenty of cheaper options out there too. Much, much cheaper.

      • Any links for the cheaper options?

      • My car supports Bluetooth only for calls, but has an aux input and USB ports, so a similar BT transmitter works fine for me (different brand, from TUNAI Firefly).

  • +1

I've been using one of these for the past 2 odd years. It has been amazing and the sound quality has been great. Keep in mind that this does have issues connecting to more than 1 device at a time. Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't e.g. If I get into the car my iPhone automatically connects but then my wife's Galaxy won't be able to connect until I turn off Bluetooth on my phone.

Also, every single I update to iOS14, every time I ask Siri to play something the volume becomes and stays very low. I need to either unplug the device or turn the volume in the car to 100. Not sure what's changed but it's a pain.

This also has a microphone but due to the placement of the device in my car (The USB ports are located in the Center Console) which closes so it's useless for me

This is an iOS problem, not a product problem. iOS stupidly has two different settings for volume - one for things like Siri and one for normal volume.

Here's how to fix it. Ask Siri for the weather or a joke or something else. While Siri is talking, press the volume up on your iPhone to the maximum.

    • Yeah, I've used this for the past year or two and it's been really good, aside from occasional connection issues and my wishing that it didn't have a microphone (so that it would just use the phone one)

    • Want to ask when using Bluetooth through 3.5 mm jack, does the controls in steering wheel work with it? Like changing the song?

    • Does this device transmits Audio using APTX or FASTSTREAM. I want to use it with my TV.

  • Only issue is when using this device for calls. You have to open the centre console door and scream for the person on the phone to hear you because of the device location.

You get some static when music is up loud.

Overall it's great for a $10 product. It was this or spending $1,000 plus on a new head unit because I needed extra parts to make a new unit compatible.

  • I've been using the Bluetooth FM transmitter for a while, connection is quite convenient and stable, sound quality is ok.

The only thing upsets me is, the background high frequency noise is a bit too much. If I turn the volume louder, the background noise becomes louder as well. And it happens after the engine started, which means the whole driving time.

Anyone meets this before and any solutions for it? Thank you very much!

    • If you have an auxiliary port then using that would work but I assume you don't since you got the FM transmitter. Otherwise there's probably not much you can do as they are all supposed to be limited to a maximum transmit power to not interfere with actual stations. One thing I would mention is to make sure you have the volume maxed on your phone before increasing it in your car.

  • Can anyone share if this device transmits Audio using APTX or FASTSTREAM. I want to use it with my TV.
Any other product suggestion would also be appreciated.

  • also this kinda product seems draws too low power, any of my power bank will stop working after a little while. (i have like 2 of this exact model, one red one black)
