I can confirm it works but only for one game. Good enough!

    • +1

Thanks for the info. I'll update title.

    • -4

yeah I only buy stream VR games I dont' trust facebook and if my account gets banned for any reason I don't need to worry about it. Buy from oculus at your own risk.

  • +3

Thanks OP. Just got Top Golf for $18 CAD/AUD

    • Have you got a step by step guide?

      • +2

Sign up for VPN. Switch to Canada server. Re-launch oculus App.

Don’t forget to check the Rift store as well for cross-buy opportunities.

        • +1

Thanks. Finally got BeatSaber for CAD26

  • Had OCULUS30 notification on mine

    Purchased Jurassic World

    • +1

Not sure why the downvotes, but when I launched Oculus today I had the same promo code notification. 30% off any game with OCULUS30. used it to get the walking dead, $50 to $35. This 30% off code might be targeted though.

      • Lol didn't see. Some real weird people here.

Glad you had it too :)

As JoeBaskin alluded to, it's cheaper to use a Canadian VPN for a cheaper overall price. Add the 25% and chicken dinner.

    • Damn! I was too fast for that super-bargain.

    • I didn't even think to do this!! Champion, thank you.

    • Sorry newbie question, I have a VPN client installed on the PC which I can connect to a Canadian server but how do you connect the quest to that?

      • +2

Install a VPN on your phone and then use the Oculus App.

        • Thanks, for some reason I was thinking I need to be connected on the quest 🤦‍♂️

    • Thanks for the tip, picked up Beat Saber and Top Golf. Just received my Quest 2 yesterday

    • If you're handy with tech, spin up a $5 droplet on DigitalOcean Canada. It's charged by the hour, so if you manage to remember to destroy it within a day you'll pay 17c USD plus taxes. There are few ways to get a cheaper VPN.

  • Beauty! Thanks op! Finally got my Beat Saber

  • Ugh, doesn’t work on the beat saber + imagine dragons.
Does work on the game itself

    • Yeah I had that issue with the Welcome voucher, just got Beat Saber stand alone and no ragrets.

      • I already own it on steam…bought standalone game again.
But beat saber is not the kind of game you want wires OR lag… they both end badly.

    • Yeah, I've had issues with codes like this with Oculus before. Turns out they don't work on bundles

If I buy a cross platform game on the quest store, will I be able to access it via regular oculus app on PC?

    • +2

I believe some games yes, but not all. I bought Robo Recall for my Quest but it's appeared in my PC oculus launcher as well.

    • +2
      • Thanks for this! The more you know. I just bought Walking Dead S&S, so glad to see it's crossbuy compatible! :)

        • Anyone know if the Oculus versions receive the same updates as their Steam counterpart?

Oculus store is cheaper for a few things but it's annoying that the moddability is reduced, you're locked into an ecosystem and possibly not getting the same post-launch support. That's the choice to be made I suppose!

          • +2

@fLaMePrO: Steam version is probably safer regardless in case you upgrade to a better (non-Oculus) headset down the line.

With Oculus killing the Rift, who knows how options like revive will fare over time. Also you can use Steam family sharing etc, without your games linked to a single facebook account or device.

I'd only buy Oculus exclusives on the platform, buy thus far have had no joy on the only item I've purchased (see below).

I really only want to play the Vader Immortal series, and Jurassic World Aftermath (though it looks like I'll never get the chance if it doesn't release for Rift which is unlikely).

            • @Abaddon: Yep that's what I'm thinking too. Just buy some of the cheaper exclusives I reckon. Cheers.

      • Anyone know whether this is a new thing or not?

I bought the Vader Immortal three pack from the Quest store in the desktop app last year. But it didn't show up for me to play in Oculus Desktop. I don't know whether that may be because I don't have an Oculus device though (trying this for Revive) or because it wasn't cross play back then. I had to refund it at the time.

        • I had to go search for the game in the oculus PC store to install. I wasn't added to my library automatically but it was free in the store for me.

          • @Szemen: Damn, should have done that then. Unfortunately it looks like the Bundle is no more now :( No longer showing up to buy.

Oculus is such a PITA, glad I didn't buy any of their devices.

          • @Szemen: yes this was the same for me - I just bought walkabout mini golf in the quest mobile store, had to go look it up on the oculus store to find it and install it so I could play on my rift, but it did work.

Also… use a canadian VPN to save you some extra $$ :)

  • How long does this code last for?

    • -5

      36 more minutes

      • Not true coz I just used it and still worked

  • Where do you apply the code? I only see "Redeem Gift" which requires a 25 digit code

    • +1

At checkout just before payment, click "Add Promo Code" and go for it.

      • Thank you!

  • Worked, used on Cosmodread. Cheers.

  • +1

    Cheers OP.

Works on App Lab games as well.

    Picked up Warplanes: WW1 Fighters.

  • Damn it I just bought Superhot for full price on the weekend. Now I don't know what to get. Hyperdash, POP1, VirtualDesktop, Onward….. haven't really looked into any of these.

    • Have you played superhot less than 2 hours? You may be able to get a refund.

    • +2

VirtualDesktop is worth the price of admission. I will now google these other things you mention.

  • Thanks mate, got the Jurassic World game

  • +1

    Thanks, got The Room VR.
Sadly, not the one by Tommy Wiseau.

  • +2

Cad VPN 'trick' is amazing even for non-specials thankyou!

    • whats that?

      • +2

        See comments above re: VPN

    • Is there even a better currency than CAD for Oculus purchases worth looking into?

  • Thanks, OP, I brought Onward. I literally and almost brought every game on "the most popular games" list of the Oculus store. The overall cost of VR gaming is a lot more compared to PS4 gaming and PC gaming for me.

  • Thanks for sharing. I got Red Matter.

  • Thanks forsharing OP!

Just got my Creed: Rise to Glory with a VPN for only 26CAD compared to AUD47!

MOBILE25 still works for now at 23:40 7th of April

  • Thanks! finally picked up Job Simulator for a decent price 😁

  • +1

Thanks for this, just got The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners :)

    • It's so stressful to play lol

  • when I connect to Canadian VPN , it still shows me pricing is USD :(

  • Cheers! Just got Eleven Table Tennis, fantastic game & cross-buy so makes playing it on the Quest 2 easy.

  • 17/04 - Not work anymore. "This code cannot be applied to your order".
