  • Same size and speed as the Samsung Evo 512GB that I paid $93 for, like a sucker.
No idea about the quality of PNY/HP though, and can't find a comparison between the two anywhere.

I think you will be better off with a major nand supplier like Samsung, super reliable even down the track.

      • So are PNY. Except they're cheaper and this is Ozbargain…

  • Thanks heaps OP grabbed one

Someone can compare with Samsung / Sandisk ones ?

Cheaper but probably less reliable. I'd go Samsung AU stock (10yr warranty)

Vs Chinese Samsung stock (1yr warranty) is a tougher choice. But still Samsung. PNY has never been reliable imho.

PNY is my go to brand for SD cards. Best bang for buck and very reliable.

Samsung is evil, Patriot are hard to find and SanDisk are usually too expensive for anything fast.

Typically just under $50 for a 256GB PNY card, so this is an excellent price.

      Why is Samsung evil?

      • Basically slave labour, child labour, covering up dozens of incidents that killed people, paying people off, so they don't sue or talk… This isn't a lawyer enough text box to cover everything - Google it if you have a strong stomach.

        • All big corporations has slave labour, child labour, covering up dozens of incidents that killed people. ie. Amazon, Nike, Apple, some chocolate company ( was a documentary on Vice a few years back) I can't remember. There's nothing new.

  • I still have a PNY 2GB tiny USB stick that still amazes people with the size and its about 15 years old now.
I'm guessing they're not using the same manufacturing techniques as 15 years ago though….
