Seems to be the lowest price it has been on Amazon for the Soundcore 2 and a few dollars more than the lowest for the Soundcore Boost.
And from what I have seen around the Ozbargain forums these speakers seem decent for the price.

I'd say its better than 'okay'

        • So a significant number of people didn't like it much.

  • I can't send you a PM @RichardL says something about an overseas user (though I am from Aus so I am not sure what is going on there). Thanks for fixing up the title, I am still a noob at posting here so I appreciate the help.

      I can't send you a PM

      I can…

  • Can we connect it with Mac via Bluetooth and use with MS teams as mic + speaker ?

          What do you use now?

I think his point is - your Mac already has built-in webcam and speaker, so why bother with this add-on

          • +1

@andresampras: Mac is always closed, connected to external display, BT keyboard and BT Mouse.
So looking for a BT speaker + Mic

              @b0nd: That makes sense now…

            • +1

@b0nd: I'd be concerned about audio lag….you'd need a speaker with APTX LL I'd say.

Depends how interesting the meetings are…

              • @andresampras: Thanks :)

  • Any deals on the Soundcore Flare+?

  • Is Soundcore 3 the new one? How does this compare to that one?

I bought the Soundcore Boost a few months ago. For $69, I think it's a pretty good buy.

You can certainly crank it up without losing clarity, I find the bass to be good enough without using the BOOST button (maybe it's the type of music I listen to). The battery life I've been impressed with so far - have played it for 4-5 hours on certain days, and the lights are still on 2-3 (out of 4). So I think the stated 12 hours is pretty accurate, but budget on 10-12 hours in the real world.

This replaced my deceased JBL Flip 3, and I found the two to be comparable in terms of sound quality.

    • Thanks for the review. I have a UE BOOM 3 which has a dodgy button so I can't play and pause properly. Hopefully this should be a decent replacement for that.

Soundcore 2 is $46.5 +gst from aliexpress if you don't mind the slow overseas delivery

  • For users whom own this item, does it have audio lag when watching video or using it as a speaker to hear Google maps directions?

    • Are you replacing your car speaker?

      • It's for a mates car which has no fancy features. I'm the navigator and my little Philips bluetooth speaker's battery doesn't hold much charge after years of use.

        • +1

Solid speaker for price. Pre gen was just on sale for $38. Definitely suit your requirements.

Doesn't lag on video using iOS. Haven't tested it with map directions.

      • Nice. Thanks for letting me know :)

  • Can I connect a tv to this without Bluetooth?

    • I think the soundcore boost has an aux-in, so you can just plug in a M-M 3.5mm plug.

      • That aux-in has been omitted in the latest design.

        • Are you sure? I can see it in the photo? Unless you are taking about the soundcore 3?
          ?

          • @ChickenDinner123: yep. I have read a few reviews and they were not happy about the new version.
They have replaced it with a TWS button and not sure what that button is. See marketing pictures on Amazon.

          • @ChickenDinner123: I can confirm there is no Aux-In in the new model of the Soundcore Boost.

  • I have this and a JBL flip 4. I'd say this is a better speaker.

Which one do you have the soundcore 2 or soundcore boost?

      • +2

Sorry for the late reply, but my OzBarg surfing runs a morning poop-evening poop schedule. I have the soundcore 2.
