This is the seller that kept delaying people's preorders. Has anyone who ordered from them receive theirs yet?

    • +1

Yeah I had a pre-order for my mother and it was delivered on the 31st of last month.

      • Thanks for confirming. I guess it's safe now.

  • +3

    Still waiting on $500-550 again

    • It's a popular model. You'll probably have to wait until November for that. Maybe the black model will be available by then

    • Same….. maybe now that the s7 has been released….

    • $500 range or will hold out for S7/S8/S9 in that range…

  • Just moved to a new apartment and been waiting for this to go down, was hoping for the >$600 mark but have pulled the trigger. Time will tell if there are issues with supply!

    • +3

Hmm this deal is >$600 😂

      • +1

Someone doesn't know how to use the greedy bird symbol

  • Is this international AU model?

    • +1

The original title for this deal said

Roborock S5 Max White International Version

    • +5

Not covered by Roborock AU warranty.
Roborock AU has been price gouging in Australia. In most other countries, the model sells for under $600

      • RR-AU currently 800 with Easter promo :/

  • Just waiting for S7 to be available in Australia. Prob a few months away still - as sold out fast overseas :(
If it does come in at a fortune, I'm sure it will put downward pressure regardless on the other models.

  • i got mine for $410 plus $120 DHL postage from direct alibaba. Like people said they dont ship to australia from aliexpress. only thing is warranty will be an issue but for that price im willing to take that risk.

    • Can you share the link where you ordered from Alibaba? Interested to buy it.

      • +3

        https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Global-Version-Roboro…

You can negotiate on the chat, think I got it for like $300 USD. I could have saved a bit on postage and ship it to my family in HK then post it to Australia, but got lazy and got it shipped directly from Shenzhen with DHL to Melbourne, took about 7 days.

        • +3

TBH, I think Kogan and other retailers probably buy it from these wholesalers for like 20 to 30% cheaper and bulk ship them to Australia.

        • Thanks, was the postage alot?

          Ignore that just re-read $120

        • Was the total charge included custom/import charges = $410 plus $120 DHL = $530 AUD ?

          • +2

@audeals: sounds about right, because they charge usd so exchange can be a little different also depends if you pay with credit card or other method there is a small surchage like 5 to 15 dollars.

because this is by international mail to us ( i believe that is why they use DHL ) anything under $1000 is not required import tax. if you ship it by air or sea youll need a agent to make a self assessed clearance declaration.

  • Love my S5 max and I paid $779.

  • +4

Best purchase made. If anyone on the fence, this one is really good.

  • how does the warranty work then in this case?

  • Waiting for the S4 Max…

    • Maybe the S6 Pure? Seem to recall hearing that it is identical to the S5 Max but without the mop function.

      • So you reckon S6 PURE is OK as Vac as I do not really need mop function.

        • Research it to double check, but that's what I recall reading.

        • S6 Pure is almost identical for vac. I've been testing one this week. The mop is slightly better on the S5 Max, but I don't think either are very good when looking at reviews. Water tank is better and is electronically controlled in the S5 Max.

      • Champion, thanks mate. @Morien

  • I bought a grey import from a local online reseller. The left wheel became really stiff and would not turn after only a month of use, the robot wasn't even able to back out of the dock. Roborock Australia did not want to know me at all after countless correspondence from me and the reseller. They did not have a number you can just ring and emails were ignored. They weren't even interested when the reseller offered out of (his) pocket repair, so you can say after-sale support for grey imports are non-existent in OZ. Luckily I do have the know-how to order a replacement part and fixed it myself. It was quite difficult and took me about 2 hours, reseller reimbursed me the part cost. I do not know if they treat their customers who bought local stock the same way but I would steer clear of greys if you are willing to go through what I went through or have faith in Kogan.

Can someone explain to me how the price of this model shot up? I bought ours over 2 years ago, and it was $4xx, but every deal in the last 12 months seems to easily be >$500, why? This is the same V2 model with the mopping functionality that I have from what I can see.

    • +2

s5 max was released dec 2019

    • Because they are d.cks.

      So nobody buys them now.

  • one of my fave recent purchases.

    its so good.

  • +2

Bought it when catch wrongly advertised it for $569 I think it was, then Kogan matched the price.
Best buy ever but warring, if you buy it you have to clean the mop, add water and empty the dust bin and schedule the cleaning general maintenance.
Apparently the misses hasn't got a clue how to do any of that as it's rocket science!
    😫😫😫

And wash the mop after each run as it stinks if you leave it on.

  • +1

If anyone doesn't want to deal with Kogan, there is an option to price match via appliances online. I just did that.

    • Lucky. This is a grey import.

      • +1

I thought the same.. I feel more comfortable with Appliances Online than dealing with Kogan. I chatted online and they actually priced matched before I even pointed out the Kogan offer. Perhaps they didn't scroll down enough to read the "international model" part!

        • +1

Do you have a receipt or invoice? I just spoke to someone and they said they don't price match with Kogan.

Edit: AO Rep said he couldn't price match Kogan but could do Dick Smith for the same price!

          • +1

@Jume: what was the rep name?

i am taking to one who says he is having issue matching exact model number with docksmith

update: the rep spoke to manager and pricematch was done

            • +1

              @rashed4004: Rep was call Liam.
Awesome - glad you got the deal as well.

            • @rashed4004: I just tried to call and they said they don't price match either , do you have a receipt I could use?

        • is the one on AO = AU stock?
          (with official Roborock warranty?)

    • +3

Thanks for posting this. Just price matched and also used a voucher from little birdie which brought it to $589 total delivered.

  • Just got message from kogan device has been dispatched.

    • Do u know how long does it take to arrive?

  • Just wondering is 'Xiaomi' Roborock the exact same as just Roborock brand or are they different? I've seen a few on ozbargain under Xiaomi and some under just Roborock brand. Thanks!

    • Same

    Best robo vaccuum.
Has anyone found authentic replacement parts at a good price?

  • +1

received my s5 max from appliancesonline this morning. Super fast delivery

    • Is the one from Appliances online official Australian stock?

      • australian stock with australian warranty

  • Received mine today after ordering 07/04. Didn't come with AU plug which wasn't too big a deal as I'm a bit of a cord hoarder and had spares. My AusPost tracking has shown a second parcel from Kogan due to be delivered Monday when I haven't ordered anything else, it's possible they're shipping the AU plug separately. Otherwise I'm happy with the product and delivery time.

  • +1

Looks like the price for Kogan first members is now $479!

    • Can i return received and order new for dropped price?

      • Unsure tbh, but I don't they'd allow cancellations for change of mind. It's worth asking them though!

        • My own is still with aus post. Missed delivery.
Will it go back if i don't pick up from business centre?

    • Thank you! I just pulled the trigger. Hopefully the low price justifies the risk of grey market item…
