All the stores around me was sold out of chocolate before easter.

Same! I went to Kmart, Big W, Coles and Woolworths near me the day before Easter and everything was gone. I was unable to get my family Easter eggs. :(

  • Were there many left?

    • Yes many! I hate deals where there are only 3 left to buy 😬

Heh good luck finding any of these! My Big W, Coles and Target were stripped bare on Easter Monday! Replaced instantly with mother's Day stuff.

Companies have insanely good projection forecasts now. They would rather sell out than discount.

Thanks OP. Grabbed 20 for the kids next 10 years of Easter. Bargain.

For some reasons, I don't find the chocolate quality of the Lindt Bunnies to be the same as that of regular Lindt Lindor spheres. Bunnies are far inferior.

    • +1

It's the exact same chocolate. The Lindor balls have a nice smooth centre which is the difference though

      • That could be the reason then.

    • I thought that the dark choc bunnies were on point. Can't comment on the milk variety

Pre covid year, most shops had so much left of Easter stuff. Seems a lot less of it now.

  • Can you still buy Easter eggs in brisbane on clearance. I was on a job for the last week and didn't have time to buy any.

The Coles, Woolies and Aldi near me in Kedron, all sold out before Easter. The Reject Shop in Everton Park still had heaps of tiny eggs left on Tuesday but they don't taste good.

      • Yeah I stopped at 2 Southside aldi on my way home from work last night and nothing. This is first year that I can remember all Easter eggs sold out on the weekend. I think I'll just settle for aldi hazelnut chocolate blocks this year. It's better quality but not shaped like an egg though. Lol

    • Inala maybe?

  • Coles and Kmart at the Dandenong Plaza still had lots of eggs left on Wednesday.

    Coles had discounted them massively.

    • And that's how you learn about demographics of the area..

    Red Tulip or no deal

      Yeh nah

Red Tulip has gone downhill massively last few years

Maybe it varies state to state but in Canberra I'm finding heaps of Easter chocolate still sitting on shelves.

    • Yep brisbane sold out. Sucks

After the waste of last year because no one could buy anything I think many places under stocked! Many places were sold out days before the long weekend!

        • I think you're right because I'm assuming they have to order easter eggs months in advance and didn't want to get stuck with loosing money by reducing prices to clear stock.

        • Next year I'll be doubling up on Easter eggs early because I didn't get a single one this year.

    • Where? I didn't find any in my usual Woolies (West belco)

I think that this is a great deal. The 200gm lindt bunny tastes very nice indeed.

    • Especially the thick chocolate around the ears 🐰

Funny how different Easter is this year to last year, go back to 2020 and stores were all selling 50% off before Easter

  • I don't know why they make so many

  • Everyone is more healthy these days, eat less sweet products

    • Really it appear life expectancy is going backwards even with advances in medical technology due to eating patterns .

  • 200g one at Chatswood Chase was $3 last night :/

  • $1 at Kmart in the Dandenong Plaza
