  • finally! received from HN saying my 5900x preorder is coming in as well. fingers crossed!

    • When did you order it?

  • Showing "Sold Out" for me now.
But anyway was going to wait for the price to go down to RRP. :)

    • RRP is only $100 less, could be waiting a while on that.

I pre-ordered my 5900x on the night it was released 10 minutes after it went live from PLE. Still have not heard a word from them about getting it

I ordered mine from mwave on the phone app about 20 seconds after it went live and got it 9 days later for $859, did the same with my 3080 got it in 21 days for $1379.

Only people I trust with new releases.

      Have they got your money?

Heard many similar stories with 30 series cards….

No way in hell I'd leave my money with a store for so long.

      • Yeah they have it. Almost ready to just get it back, but knowing my luck they'll probably get it in just after I do so lol

    • Same except I was about 3minutes and got mine two weeks after launch.

I guess not the same then

If you bought these for a mining rig, you're doing it wrong.

  • I made an order in November last year in Computer Alliance, still waiting for it.

    • I've bought a few things off them before, but when I had trouble with a motherboard they changed their story about what they were doing with it multiple times, claimed they fixed and cleaned it and when I got it back it was dirty, same issues as before and they had bent the CPU pins.
They had the board for 2 months and after I contacted them again they said it was my fault and wouldn't fix it.

Hopefully you have a better experience!!

  • Bah! missed out.. its killing me..
There could be a bit of an influx in Aus soon as it seems quite a few have hit the US market. Theres a bunch of 5950x's on Ebay US for reasonable prices now but i'd still rather buy local

Signed up just to post this (((bargain))), then logs out. Wow!

What's the issue? i have been checking for 4 months on here in just in case it came back into stock. If i helped someone to purchase it yesterday, good. What did you want me to do, talk them through how to add it to the shopping cart? Register ;) These are all but impossible to get. I assume you would complain about someone doing the same for PS5 in stock, given the discounts on those (((bargain))). - no idea what you are on about logging out. I came back to this site this morning and I'm logged in.

    Still over RRP.

Didn't you know that being am actual bargain is no longer a requirement and this website is basically now 'ozinstock'

"True Ozbargainers" (i.e. those whose identity bizarrely revolves around it) wouldn't buy full-priced food in a famine: "Didn't you know that being am actual bargain is no longer a requirement and this website is basically now 'ozinstock'"?

You are absolutely right. If you want/need something and are not willing or able to wait, a bargain is being able to get it cheaper than the market price of that item. RRP means nothing if its impossible to get it at that price. Some people just arent able to comprehend that point.

@DanielP2: I wonder what the "true ozbargainers" used as a toilet paper during The Great TP Shortage and whether it was RRP appropriate or say fair market price of MBA course material.

        • Nobody mentioned "True Ozbargainers" except you, I was just stating what I believe is (currently) a fact, and did you notice I did not down vote this "bargain"? I didn;t because I fully understand that some find the deals like this helpful and yes due to lack of supply it is the best price right now, but seriously do you disagree that a lot of the computer "bargains" on here lately are simply items in stock at or above retail price? If you disagree fair enough but if you agree I am sure you can see where I and some others are coming from that it is annoying in stock is now considered a bargain even thought a majority find it helpful.

My example would be it is a bit like posting a deal about "bargain" PS5 that you can get on some website for $2000, because hey it is unavailable anywhere else
