      • So.. When is profitability achieved? What is fundamentally going to change that makes them profit?

        • Scale. Many more cashback users should generate much more revenue for a much smaller increase in costs.

          • @SydneySwan: I mean that what "Honey extension" did and it get acquired by PayPal for $4B. I think Shopback has the edge in terms of its direction profitability - gamification of its business model. AliExpress has a couple games and social networking task for coupons and Shopback has taken that influence.

      • Except, this is ShopBack not CR…

    • +2

      Never happy

    • -1

Total giveaway is actually $7,500 not $1,500.

      • +1

Once you consider how many getting the cheap ubereats you can devalue that money by 50%

        • Perhaps, but reading the comments it would seem quite an even spread.

  • Missed by 7 mins (yeah i know :)) but is the banner supposedly clickable when the deal is active (at 12pm, or next 2pm)? Because it is currently not

    • Yup. Same issue

  • Does it say you are one of the 300 buyers that qualified for the cashback when you submit your order? I don't have much faith on cashback. A lot of my purchases have zero cashback.

    • +1

The $5 bonus is tracked almost instantly

  • Can you use/redeem these digital GCs in store (scan the GC)? And when you buy 1, do you need an sms verification code?

      1. You add to you digital wallet as it provided via Prezzee for instore purchases.
      2. Yes. You need to enter a SMS code to purchase.
  • -7

The real mystery is whether or not you get the cashback.

    • You will.

    • It's through ShopBack themselves through their own app

    • Tracked within 5 mins. Yes you'll get cashback if you lucky enough to get one :)

  • Got uber eats…ofc..

  • +3

Gone in less than 10 seconds.

  • +1

    I got Kmart.

  • -4

4 seconds in, sold out again. Ridiculous.

  • $5 Amazon gift card, thanks OP

  • +2

Bloody hell.. the 2pm drop sold out in 5 secs!

  • Yes got eBay!

  • YES! I got an eBay one score.

  • +2

    Sold out within 5 seconds

    • dont worry, I can clarify that it was sold out at 3 seconds

  • +1

Out within fraction of second. Got NOTHING

  • $5 Amazon here.

  • Wow. The power of ozbargain is honestly amazing.

  • +2

I got an Uber Eats voucher :(

  • +2

300 'MYSTERY' uber eats gift cards…

  • Got Target, think I would rather get uber eats haha 😂. Still handy though.

    • Can do a swap with my ubereats one if you like.

  • Ebay voucher 🙄 I must be the only person disappointed I got this😅 I never use Ebay :(
Still it's free, so no complaints.

  • Got Amazon wow thanks OP.

Clicked right on 2pm and clicked buy without looking. Had to verify card but it held the order :). Way better than the eBay Plus scam.

  • -3

got uber eats. wasted $5. rigged and not worth it.

    • You'll get it back in 90 days. Still, a bitter pill to swallow.

      • I lost the potential to invest in shares and make a 20% gain in 90 days.

        • +8

You also lost the potential of buying a $5 scratchie with that $5. You could have won 200k.

        • Where can I send $1 for you?

      • Not even 90 days. You will get it redeemable by 23 April (if not prior)

        • Ok, but that UberEats voucher is valid for 3 years. That's three years of living with disappointment.

  • God damn that sold out so quick :-(

  • +1

    $5 JB-Hifi!

  • JB damn it, who wants to swap?

    • +8

I know about 50 people with an ubereats voucher who will be most eager.

  • Can't score later ones cause I'll be at work.
This is even worse than ebay air pod deal

    • yep, the $99 AirPods sold in around 30 seconds.

  • Got Target

  • Yay Amazon! Had to verify card and was worried it didn’t go through - thanks OP!!

  • +1

Just my bad luck. I could have used any of the vouchers except Uber Eats, and of course what did I get?

    • +12

      Amazon?

  • Got uber eats, which is good.

    • +4

      Sarcasm? Positive Thinking?

      • What Sarcasm???
        I got it at 2pm.

Uber eats voucher is good. I can use it for takeaway

        • Takeaway your money*

          • +1

@Zackeroo: I always select pick up.
Uber eats is kind of ok, for small amount of stores the price is same

            • +1

@simon 84: If it works for you, then fair enough…

I've just never used Uber Eats cause the price pushed me away

              • +1

@Zackeroo: correct, in some stores, each meal price has increased $3

    • +3

      Keep telling yourself that…

      • jv you're literally in every conversation lol.

If you say that you haven't ever had dreams/nightmares of OzBargain, you're lying

        • jv you're literally in every conversation lol.

You are assuming there is only one of me…

          • @jv: There is only one account… But yes, multiple people could be using your account

            ^^ But I don't think that's the case :)

  • +2

I just got one at 2.08pm. Strange 🤔 Not complaining but just find it strange that it’s still avail. $5 JB hi-fi

  • Got JB.

  • got Target… HELP!?!

  • -1

Lol not worth couple of mins of my time

    • You seriously bothered that much to comment that here. Could have saved a few seconds of your 'precious' time by not commenting that

  • Got JB

  • +2

Got Amazon! I think I am way too happy about this than I should

    • +5

You're just relieved you didn't get UberEats.

  • Thanks OP, got Amazon…now just have to wait til the 23 April to confirm the $5 cashback

  • $5 Amazon

  • where in the app do you find these?

    • ShopBack Super Store.

      • How do you get there? From the home page?

  • $5 Amazon gift card, noice.

Also used my cashback balance, so double noice.

    • I've been refreshing since 4pm and just says sold out?

      • I clicked thru to Super Store at 1 second past 4, purchase, use Cashback balance, verification code, done.

      • I was refreshing from 3:59pm managed to get ebay and used cashback balance. Was worried I would be too slow with verification code.

  • showing as sold out ?

    • Sold out within 1 minute. You need to be faster

      • I did not see any opportunity to buy at all. I was refreshing from 3:59 until 4:02..

  • +1

Sold out within 2 seconds for me. My Wi-Fi is terrible, so I didn't really have a chance :(

  • +3

Was refreshing at 3:59 and managed to click it the second it hit 4pm, hit pay now and all sold out

    RIP

    • Exactly the same for me.

      • Same here for the 8pm drop.

  • +1

This reminds me of Uber eats during Aussie open

    • +1

Nah that was easy, I won loads of those vouchers

      • That’s true, I ended up with over 30 or 40. But it was still a f5 experience.
