      • Did you use any screen protector? I also having trouble with fingerprint scanner, not as smooth as old iphone. And the battery is draining so fast as well.

  • +1

Will the phone be unlocked? Or locked to Telstra?

  • Does anybody know if I can put the sim card in a hotspot wifi device and use the esim on the samsung s21? Would that work? So far I have to turn on and off the hotspot on my phone every time I'm home and want to use a laptop.

    • You can’t have esim and a physical sim for the same connection if that’s what you mean.

      • I see… I thought you could have a sim card in a phone and esim with a smartwatch for exemple, so I won't need to take my phone while running.
That would be on the same plan/connection

        • I don't think this is possible - how would the MSP (Telstra) know which SIM card to send calls/SMS to?

What you're probably thinking of is an eSim which is 'data only', or shares from the same service plan as the phone. The eSim would still have its own number/sim though.

  • Hi,
I tried to get this deal however, for some reason I fail a credit management check on the Telstra Siebel system. I've contacted Telstra and they can't see any reason. All my bills are paid on time. The staff at JB hifi staff can't advise what to do.

Can anyone provide a pointers on what to do in this scenario to fix this?

    Thanks

  • I picked up this deal today but now having seconds thoughts as I really wanted a Pixel. Does anyone know if you can return the phone unopened and get a gift card worth $1249?

Technically on the system.. yes, however most stores are aware of switcheroo tactics and when they see a gift card of the exact amount, they know its a phone from some discounted plan.

You can try your luck I suppose, but just don't expect it to work.

      • Yeah no luck unfortunately, I tried a different store too. I guess I can run this phone of while and see what happens with the new Pixel this year. If they make the switch to their own processors then I'll consider selling the S21 second hand.

    • Highly doubt it - didn't work for me with the S20 FE.

  • I signed up but not sure how to get details of the $10 port in credit promo details?
