Not the cheapest one in history though, based on quick Googleing this seems to be a fair price for me for now consider this seems to be AU stock and from Viofo's official store in Amazon AU.

  • Is the 4K version better for $100 more?

Australian stock A129 Duo Pro have been on sale for ~$275 in the past, I'd wait for another sale, but this non-4k version will do just fine.

Not the cheapest one in history though

Other than the $1 saving the 3 camels have listed, what was the cheapest price for the Plus version? (very hard to search OzB conclusively with all the A129 variants, Duo, Plus IR, Pro)

Cheapest I can see in recent times is about $220 + Delivery which depending on where you live is almost the same as this deal.

Does everyone leave their dashcams permanently mounted? Is it an item thieves will regularly target or in general do you just leave it there all the time and it's ok?
Thinking of getting the 4k version to put in my new car.

Yeah the last thing i want is to have something to protect me that itself needs protection from getting stolen.

    • Dash cam typically doesn't invite thief. It is not like a $5,000 mirrorless camera.

But when someone break-in, dash cam is likely to be damaged / stolen (i.e. no footage).

I believe most drivers left dash cam mounted all time.

Most cars I see have dashcams now, I don't think that they are targetted.
