  • Sizing is huge will be to big for most

    • You sayin my head is massive?

      • +3

        Yes mate, huge.

        • Oh good, I thought I was going crazy

    Highly rate this helmet

how's 661 helmet in comparison, given same pricing ?

    • +1

The 661 Recon has more rear coverage hence better protection than this.

  • +1

Wonder how old this stock is.

    • +1

It came out in 2018, so probably a few years. From my reading helmets do potentially degrade with use, but shouldn’t be any issue with new old stock

  • +2

I too have an original Flux and need replacement padding… but for only a few dollars more I can get an entire new helmet here! Thanks OP :)

  • +1

Thanks OP didn't need a helmet but ended up buying Fox enduro elbow pads for $49.99

How do people buy the correct size of bike helmet online? I'd be shocked if they have standardized sizes instead of like clothes where an 'L' in one brand is an 'S' in another. I'd feel like scum going to a bike store, wasting their time opening boxes to try them on, only to make some excuse to leave and buy it elsewhere.

    • +1

They've got a sizing chart, so just measure your head and buy the right one for you.

      • +1

Ah ok thanks. I've tried that with hats and it never works, but maybe a helmet is different because hats can be worn in different positions whereas a helmet can't.

        • +1

It worked very well for me - I bought a small size thinking that it will be a bit bigger than the sizing chart - nope - it was as per the chart - I hardly could squeeze it on my head. So make sure you've got a right size for you.

protection is always good. My ex taught me that

    • +1

Good protection is even better - MIPS is the way to go.

If anyone wants a steal from Pushys, have a look at these lights. I grabbed two of these in a recent order, and like most lezyne stuff, they're well built, have a strap or clip option to attach to your bike or clothing, and are rechargeable instead of running on those expensive CR2032's… shudder.

    • Thanks, I bought one

  • Code not accepted for me….

    • min spend $30 reached ? per T&C's

      • That’s the problem… on my iPad I can see no way of finding the T&Cs, despite looking quite hard..

    • +1

Just worked for me with helmet purchase

  • +1

Awesome, thanks for this! Got a spare helmet now, good to avoid temptation to use one after it takes a hit :)

  • The code does not work now :(

  • Helmet arrived yesterday, is very nice and fits my 61cm head well. Would recommend.unless you want MIPS (which is arguably a need).

    • I bought one too, but am wondering if I should have bought a helmet with MIPS instead. It’s hard to tell if MIPS is just good in theory or if it will lead to meaningful differences in outcomes in crashes. The Virginia Tech
      ratings
definitely are in favour of MIPS models. The Bicycle Helmet Safety Institute raises some questions about the testing methodology. I guess ‘not conclusively proven but potentially/probably beneficial’ is my summary of the available information. If you do have a fall and hit your head, the extra $50-$100 won’t seem like much if it lessens the injury - but it’s impossible to tell to what extent that is the case. The flux 2.0 helmet has good coverage and (theoretically) good quality shock absorbing material, which should be beneficial. Overall I justified it as being better than what I am currently using for minimal cost - but am still having second thoughts

      • The last bit was pretty much where I am at, this is a lot better than my current helmet and not a lot of money.

        • +1

Let’s hope neither of us have to test it out!
