      • +1

D9 owner here, received firmware update recently but still missing multi-level maps.

        • Please go map management and turn on multi-map function.

          • @Gearbite: Found it, thanks!

          • @Gearbite: how do i get the new firmware update? I still have 3.5.8_1039

I have the D9 and have the ability to choose map on the app, up to 3 maps.

          • @TNTomer: oh wow, I don't have that option and I'm still stuck in 3.5.8_1039

        • Let us know if that works for you?

    • D9 user here. Can confirm multi-level map function is present in firmware 3.5.8_1082
Only got update a couple weeks ago

  • Anyone here who own Dreame D9, how is your experience with it?
    Is it any good?

    • This thread has a few discussions about the d9
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/604108

Not sure if there recent firmware upgrade has fixed anything

    • d9 is great, this is a good price. I received the firmware update with multi-level maps but dont need it (only have one floor)
if you can afford or find a good deal on s5 max, it is the slightly better machine, has better software support and better first pass vacuuming
but I wouldnt say it is $250 better and def not 450 better

    • Personally I dislike it immensely.

Had to send it back to get the water tank repaired. The tangle free brush tangles every time. All the brushes and mop maps fray after 3 months. It doesn't clean near the walls. The mop is sub par and streaky.

Trying to seal with support is painful, it's taken 3 weeks to get a reply which was 'remap' which is an effort in itself after all the furniture has gone down.

I would not recommend to anyone.

      • That is the F9 =/

      • Not to mention that it's grouped half my house as one room and I cannot split them up.

    • D9 is the first robo vac for me, have had it for 2 months and it's been great. 10 hours or so of cleaning time, no issues at all except for things I created (leaving doors open so it went places it shouldn't etc). Haven't used mop function though.

      • You could create a virtual wall so that it doesn't go into a certain room. I have a large media room with a carpet with two doors I created two virtual walls so it never went into the media room, but its laser scanner mapped what's inside (scary).

        • Yeah have done that for complete no go zones, but there's one room it normally cleans that I had left clothes on the floor in and it munched them and got stuck. User error, not robots.

Similarly scary with the laser scanner - it's seen my balcony and never been out there!

  • Heads up. I literally received my d9 yesterday and had it spin around the house yesterday we were pretty happy with the performance. Today I was sitting in my study and hear a loud pop went it to find the docking station had blown up and left a burn mark on the carpet. Waiting for a reply from gearbite regarding a remedy…

    • Sorry ot hear that, Please send oz message to me.

      • just replied. thanks.

  • Is the warranty for 1 year?

    • +1

      Yes

  • How to order the accessories like main brush

  • Will the F9 remain with 1 map or will there be a software update for more maps?

    • i think it Will be only one map.

      • 👍

  • Any deals on air purifiers??

  • Hi Gearbite - has the recent firmware upgrade fixed the disappearing maps? I haven't done the update yet but went to put it on tonight and for about the 5th time it came out from dock and had no idea where it was and decided to remap the whole house from fresh again (all the work in seperating rooms and virtual walls is gone again)

    • Do fix some bugs, you can try new firmware which have multi-maps as well.

      • Yeah i'm not after multi maps - I just want to know if the bug as described has been fixed?

        • Did report map problem to them and they advice will improve, but i do not have that kinds of map problem, so i cannot test.

          • @Gearbite: Ok i'll try the firmware update and if it doesn't fix it is it eligible for return under warranty? Only a couple of months old

  • looking for a walkingpad from Mi

    • Walkingpad treadmill for $679.15 Here

  • Any way to get the F9 to work with the Tuya app?

  • Any word on the d9 and Google home support?

I do find the new firmware has improved the map mucking up (hasn't happened since). And I'm just trying the multi map now. Although will probably but another for upstairs as my original Xiaomi is starting to have problems.
