[eBay Plus] Whites Heated Grips for Motorcycles $118.99 Delivered @ YamahaWorld eBay

170
PLUSFL15

Bit of a niche post. Heated grips are amazing for the colder seasons and late-night rides. Whites are a great alternative to traditional grips with an external box for the controls (e.g. Oxford Hotgrips).

They look factory, comfy (a bit girthier than factory grips) and are a great buy at $118.99 shipped! I ride with thin summer gloves all year round with these (unfortunately I paid a lot more for them).

Other sizes are available (120mm is $127.49), check them out here:

  • Thought about getting them for the gixxer. Saw no need as my winter Dainese gloves are more than warm and Sydney doesn't get proper cold weather for me to notice.

  • perfect timing, need some for my new ride, and was unhappy with oxfords on last bike (got tacky after not much use & had to stretch foam grips over them)

    • My Oxfords went tacky too.
I got some large heat shrink from Jaycar to go around them.
Been working great for years now as a daily commute.

      • Seems to be a common thing, because my Oxfords went tacky too.

Shouldn't you be wearing gloves? Nice for Canada though.

I can't believe people downvoted you.
You're all a bunch of squids if you think riding without gloves is fine.

      • Some people ride motorbikes wearing thongs on their feet. What can you do? Maybe they can come up with a line of electric foot-pegs?

Their f&ckwits that's that they are, they'll be organ donors soon enough.

        Because it's a stupid comment.

It's like saying you don't need heating in your house cause you're wearing clothes.

        • I don't see how it's a stupid comment? He simply said "shouldn't you be wearing gloves?"
I'm gonna take it at face value and say he's absolutely correct.

@he11bent: He's saying you don't need heated grips cause you should be wearing gloves.

Anyone that rides a motorcycle (which manic obviously doesn't), knows how ridiculous the statement is.

            • @anzacpaul: But that's an assumption though, maybe I'm just taking his statement at face value. Manic can answer if he meant that you don't need heated grips cause you should be wearing gloves….

But then again, I ride my gixxer to work nearly everyday (apart from when it's raining). And my Dainese winter gloves are plenty, I kinda agree, I don't see a real need for heated grips, at least here in Sydney.

            • @anzacpaul: I don't understand how this is better than simply getting the right gloves?

You need (should have!) heavy gloves, so you might as well have winter gloves.
I have not ridden in a while, but know it gets bloody cold in the mornings without the right gloves. (or boots & pants!)
No gloves or summer gloves plus heated bars seems a bit silly.

What next? An electric seat-warmer? Hands are just one small part of dressing appropriately.

I thought bikers were supposed to be tough. Maybe people are buying these for their mopeds or Honda Goldwing? :-)

              • @bargaino: Exactly!

I can't stress enough how important it is to be wearing appropriate gear when riding. I wear my Alpinestars SMX-6 full length boots anytime I ride.
YOU ARE the crumple zone, why risk it by wearing minimal.

Next thing to purchase is the Helite 2 airbag system.

  • Thanks, been looking to get one for a long time. Great price and doesn't have the massive controller box like most.

  • Bought these for like $95. Soooo nice, integrated and you wouldn’t notice them on.

Actually there’s a private deal for $99 in Sydney right now. Not sure if I should be sharing it though, so maybe PM?

  • Not an eBay plus member right now and already have heated grips but good to know these exist! I’ve always had Oxfords but that bulky control box is an eyesore and not easy sometimes to fit onto an overcrowded handlebar.

Just double glove. Inner gloves are what, $15?

    • The whites are a copy of the koso apollo heated grips which sell for >$200.

      • Torn between these two - any idea which one is easier to install?

        • The whites wont have a control box which you need to separately mount, so I guess its one less step for install. Plus it is almost invisible, so I like it for my sports bike.

  • For people in Sydney - contact motorcyclestuff.com.au - they have a deal at the moment on these, around the $99 mark

    • Website says $160
