      Yes at this price, it will be a fixed focal lens..

      at least it can still pan and tilt.. as for zoom, it could be digital zoom

            @jv: generally people will be stuck with the NVR when they buy the camera bundle.. Eg if u get hikvision camera, then u will most likely get a hikvision NVR.

            The best ones? depends on your needs .. I use a delicated PC installed with a software called blueiris to record the videos. I think it is not bad.

    Can this record constantly or after motion detected only?
    I bought one Joonan with motion detection only, advertised in Ozbargain too but it is too slow to react to record anything. i.e. if i walk pass it, it wont even capture me!

      it the camera supports motion video, you can view the 2 types video freely.

    I tried a very similar camera purchased from ebay that was 5mp and about the same price, I returned it fairly fast… The generic chinese interface is shocking, you could only connect to it with a very old version of Internet Explorer which has been retired due to security issues, couldn't use Chrome or such, and couldn't integrate it with my DVR… You could also use a really crappy chinese NVR program that had security issues and it was very buggy, not reliable at all…

    If you want something as a foot in the door it "may" be ok, but expect ongoing issues…

    You get what you pay for ;)

      do you want to buy an IP camera that work with your DVR(digital video recorder)?
      you can find the ptz camera supports your DVR, but pls find it according to your DVR,
      for example,1, check the DVR's channel type,does it support 5mp ip camera?
      or only digital camera? if yes, you needs to find the digital camera, not ip camera.
      2,if the DVR supports 5mp IP camera, check the IP camera, does it support Onvif protocol.
      if yes, they can work together.
      there is a simple method. send the channel type interface of your DVR, we will send the right camera to you.
      it can work with the DVR well.

    Terrible experience with Jooan. After sales support is non-existent and the security system we bought is riddled with issues. The NVR died when it was less than a year old.

    Would not recommend.

    about onvif function, it's not the camera's main function.
    it's still in testing, when the buyer needs this function, we can push it into the APP to upgrade, let it work with JOOAN wireless NVR,
    but it's still in testing, only supports live video /playback/ptz control in the NVR, but more functions still need to set in the camera APP.
