Porting number is available on all mobile carriers in Australia.
Been like that since 2001.
Yes I have ported my number to Boost. There is an option to keep your old number while activating the sim.

Have you tried this? I read previously on OZB that you need to be away for 3 months minimum before qualifying as a new customer.

@couger: I read that for Boost few weeks ago as my plan changed from boost Anytimeplus to ultra with no warning. Have ported out to another provider as 30GB for 200 bucks fails ozbargainer logic ingrained in me. If port out / port in right away works, it would be awesome.
