Seems to be the cheapest so far for the RTX3080 system. Eligible for CashRewards. Base system has a RTX3070, but the extra $350 is a worthwhile upgrade IMO. According to the Dell website it's on clearance while stocks last.

2/5 Update: Out of stock now, however R12 with 11700F + RTX3080 is available for $2,928.38

  • Any idea how long it takes between "shipped" and when we'll receive it?

  • Using the previous link:

    https://dellpleportal.dbschenker.com.au/ETA/ETAquery?Length=…

    I get this message:

Your Dell Order No *********** has an ETA of Between 06/06/2021 And 07/06/2021. Call customer support on 1 800 812 393, If you would like our friendly agents to help you resolve an issue with your order

  • +2

2 weeks from first ship date
This link will tell you when its been received in Aus,
    https://eschenker.dbschenker.com/app/tracking-public/?refNum…

    • Niceee. It's coming from NSW to me in VIC, so hopefully Monday/Tuesday is realistic!

    • was a lot faster for me. Got shipping notification on Wednesday, which said it can take up to 10 business days to send to their sorting centre before being delivered. Then I received another email 2 days later saying my order shipped early and it looks like I'll receive it on Monday.

      • How do you know re Monday?

        • +1

          Startrack notification. ETA Monday

      • +1

Mine was the same. Got the StarTrack notice on Friday due Monday.

  • Mine is meant to ship on 5 June and still stuck in confirmed status.

    • White or black? Mine says estimated ship 16th of June but I ordered the white one.

      • White. I rang Dell yesterday and they can't even tell me exactly what's going on. Blaming delayed logistics and parts shortage. BS. If it's due to delayed logistics, why are other people getting their orders shipped?

  • "Your item is currently on its way to our sorting center. You will receive an order shipped email with associated tracking information once the final mile carrier picks up the freight."

Just got this email today - how long till you get the startrack notification?

  • +3

No news is bad news. Shipping date: 5th of June yet I'm still stuck at order confirmed. They don't even bother to revise shipping date lol. I expect to receive it in 2022.

    • I'm in the same boat. This business must be run by bunch of clowns. At the very least, they shouldn't be charging people's credit cards when they can't even fulfill the order and have zero clue when they will be able to do so.

I presume you ordered lunar white?

      • Yep lunar white it is :(

        • +2

Don't know why Dell can't even admit it's the colour choice that's delaying the order.

          • +2

@keejoonc: My delivery date has been revised from 21 June to 1 September. Bad news for lunar white orders. Never been so pissed with a purchase.

            • @xBargainhunterx: You are lucky. Mine has been delayed to 2 September. What a f**king joke this is. I will be ringing them up to give them an earful.

            • +1

@xBargainhunterx: if it ships in September, I wouldn't be surprised if they ship out LHR GPUs too.

              • @keejoonc: Very likely , wouldn't count that out.

                • +2

@xBargainhunterx: I'm seriously considering telling them to shove the PC up where the sun don't shine. All this wait just to find out in a few months time that they are shipping out LHR GPUs sounds like more hassle than it's worth.

                  • @keejoonc: True, I feel your rage. Like we haven't waited long enough already and for what? A more inferior LHR graphic card.

        • funny, they mailed me on the 21/5 saying white is out of stock so only option was to go black or refund.

  • Mine got delivered this morning, Cant look at it til tonight though

    • I've been looking at the link for updates: https://eschenker.dbschenker.com/app/tracking-public/?refNum…

Not too sure how to interpret the information but how long did it take yours from sales order created to shipped/delivered?

Mine's stuck on 'Stock allocated to sales order' :(. Albeit it was only yesterday.

      • Mine was “shipped” on the 1st to the sorting centre, not from overseas though. And was stock allocated on 4/6 at 8amish and then shipped out that arvo and received today, probably would have been next day if it wasn’t for the weekend

This is what mine shows so far. I called up Dell and they told me it was being shipped from China via flight but it isn't a direct flight so is scheduled to arrive in Aus by 10th of June, after which it needs to clear customs etc, and is epected to arrive by the 14th

    • seems mine come from the same flight. All the times are same except last one are 30 minutes later.

      • Mine came through today, ahead of the expected delivery date of Monday next week.

  • +3

Whoever it was that said the RTX 3080 they received was hash limited must have been smoking something.
Received mine today and it pulled 85MH/s out of the box and now pulling 96-97MH/s without any cooling mods. VRAM temp is floating around 98-102 degrees so I might do something to get it down to a more reasonable level. My RTX 3060 Ti rigs run 24/7 at 64-66 degrees without any mods and pull 62-62MH/s

    • +1

Yes, he was mining on the 'lite' setting. Anyway, awesome to hear they're still not limited yet. Hopefully they send out the white ones before they switch them.

    • Awesome to hear, which case and gpu mods are you planning?

      • +1

not doing that much. I'll most likely just disassemble the video card, remove the serial number stickers and apply thermal paste. If I can be bothered I might try changing the thermal pads but not 100% yet.
Might also replace the stock 120mm intake fan with something quieter.

    • What are your overclock settings to get 96-97MH/s if you don't mind me asking

      • +1

        No problem.
        -100 core clock
        970 memory clock
        227w power

I'm sure I can extract more out of it but don't want to push too hard without cooling mods and I didn't have time as I set it up quickly during lunch break

      • Made some changes and pumping out just over 100MH/s now. Still running very hot at 98-100 degrees

  • +1

Delayed until September. What a joke.

  • +1

Wtf revised delivery date of Sept 1.

    This is utter BS.

  • +3

So close, almost missed the delivery! It says shipped 02 June, expected delivery 21 June and no tracking info so I figured it's not in AU yet but the guy knocks on my door at 730am this morning. Got it!!!

    • +2

      Wanna sell it? :-)

Also a note to those like me that are waiting for white until September. I spoke to Dell and they believe the date to be accurate at this stage. There are 2000 (!) outstanding orders waiting for parts to hit production. I guess there are a few of us waiting!

      • 2000 rtx 3080s is a big order. Lot of people won't see their machine until the end of the year or even into next I bet. Even if they were allocated 300 cards a month that's still a 6mo wait.

        • +3

They shouldn't have accepted that many orders at the first place then. Deducting money from people first, deliver like half a year later. Outrageous.

          • @xBargainhunterx: pretty rich of them to deduct the $$ prior to shipping

should be charging them friggin interest.

          • @xBargainhunterx: Lol and they dare to send me a survey on my purchase…wtf. Rated them 1 star with no hesitation

            • +1

@xBargainhunterx: My review has been rejected by Dell. Lol

"Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish next time!"

              • +1

@xBargainhunterx: LOL i got same email!!!

                • +1

@sabrelli: Haha don't bother writing your feedback though, it will get MODERATED anyways.

                  • +2

@xBargainhunterx: l reacted the same as you when i got that stupid survey email and wrote a sarcastic review.

                    REJECTED hahahaaha

              • +1

@xBargainhunterx: Same happened to my review. Bunch of clowns.

                • @keejoonc: They emailed me saying r11 is no longer available and ask whether I would like to upgrade to r12 or a refund. Even longer ETA now but by a few days.

      • What pisses me off also is that they should have offered alternative colour choice if colour choice is what was delaying the order, which it clearly did.
Is there anyone who ordered black that had their order delayed to September?

        • +1

Mine is white and still says shipping June 16th. I'm watching it closely though and if it goes to September it's an immediate cancellation.

        • I ordered white on 30/4, got an email on 21/5 that they had ran out of white colour so either change to black, or refund. So opted for the black and my delivery date from 22/6 changed to 22/7. Not sure how they can just push you back to the end of the queue even though it was their own fault for overselling the white. Then again July seems better than September

      • haha maybe next time :)

  • +4

For those that haven't received theirs yet that techfast deal that just went live for non lhr 3080 seems mighty tempting if Dell allows cancelling

    • Do they have it IN Stock though??

      • +2

They say some arriving June, some July in OP

      • Thanks for sharing! Copied from tech fast thread :
"I've consistently said that we won't be offering another 3080 deal until we're in a position to fulfill all outstanding orders"

        Watch and learn Dell!!!

    • Surely Dell would have to accept cancellations after delaying for three months. It's an ACCC case waiting to happen if they don't.

    • +1

Yep. I called and cancelled mine after ordering Techfast. I suggest you guys all do the same as September ETA is just rubbish and who knows could be delayed further??

  • I spoke to Dell rep and they said I should ring sales and see what they can do. Otherwise the only option is refund. As if I will bother calling up sales when they will just disregard what I paid for this PC and will try to get me to order something similar with no discount.

  • +1

My black arrived today - Def not LHR
    Surprisingly little bloatware
    But those vram temps smoking

    • What temps are you seeing and how do you check them (do I have to download something/3rd party?)

      • bout 100 degress with quick miner lite optimisation - i am going to repaste around the serial numbers as others have suggest
        download HWINFO to check temps

        • … or GPU-Z

    • What if you left the side panel open - does that help vram temps?

      • +1

        Maybe 2 degrees

  • Does anyone who got an F processor know the best way to unlock the power limits and do a small bclk adjustment? The Bios seems very locked down. I am trying with Throttlestop.

  • Now Dell sends an email saying R11 is no longer available. What a bloody joke.
They will replace the order with equivalent R12 or can cancel.
How they didn't know this when I have been speaking to them only a couple of days ago is beyond me.

    • Free upgrade!

      • +1

In theory but as far as I know there is nothing really significantly different between r11 and r12 anyway.

        • If u get to keep cashback and it comes relatively quick still decent.

          • @blues99: Delivery by 2 September so it's not really any quicker and not sure what impact it will have on the cashback validity.

            • @keejoonc: Ah still Dell being sucky then

            • +1

@keejoonc: Cashback incentive was why I made the purchase in the first place lol

              • @xBargainhunterx: Technically we should be still getting cash back as it’s not like we are doing a brand new transaction????

                • +1

@sabrelli: The IRN will likely be different, as they have to put in an order change

                  • @Feeblely: would cashrewards or shopback be aware of this thou???

                    • +1

@sabrelli: Not that it means anything, but I have asked about the impact on cashback claim through an affiliate and they said it won't impact on it.

                      • @keejoonc: They'll tell you anything to get commissions of you lol

                • @sabrelli: When I had to swap from my white r11 to a black one (still on order) they cancelled my order and an agent emailed me a private quote, so I'm pretty sure cashback won't pick it up. I was also sent to the back of the queue on the new order, delaying my eta from the 22nd of June to the 6th of August.

The Customer service agent I was speaking to before I swapped to the r11 said they will expedite the eta so it would be the same but after I placed the order the new sales agent told me it wasn't possible to shift the order forward in the queue.

                  • @D-pt: i just received the quote and it has the same IRP number as my original order. Not sure if that means cashback will be still valid but more hopeful that it will be after seeing this.

    • I just got this too
Based on terrible 11 series reviews I've queried them on the processor. Dell have advised replacement processor for 10700F is the 11700KF. Would prefer an upgrade to the 11900F or some other sweetener based on the date and lost mining income.
Will let you know how I go.

      • Good luck but I highly doubt you will be able to get anything out of them. Making them understand what you are talking about will be a challenge in itself. Talking to these Indian calll centre peole is like talking to a brick wall. They say they understand what you are saying, but in reality they never do. They are just programmed to say "Yes" or "I apologise", but never offer any real solution.

        • -7

Hello, as a man marrying an Indian woman I find this extremely offensive

      • "Based on terrible 11 series reviews" Why did you purchase it?

        • +1

Intel 11th gen CPU, not Alienware Aurora R11 sorry.

I purchased the Intel 10th gen.

  • I've just been reading on Reddit that a lot of people seem to have ordered their R11/R12's only weeks ago and have already received them. I don't know if it's an American thing and our warehouse just sucks or what's going on.

  • Cancelled my order after the R12 'offer' (which would likely mean losing cashback) and left a less-than-glowing review (which Dell refused to publish). What a shit show.

  • +1

Don't bother with R12 upgrade. I just got the order confirmation and the estimated delivery date is 4 November, full two months more than what the stupid sales person told me just before I proceeded with the upgrade.
No way in hell I'm waiting 5 months for a PC.

  • Anyone got any updates from orders around may 25th? I've ordered a black r11 then, but it was after Dell oversold me the white, so surely they won't make me queue up again you'd think

    • FYI, most of our orders date back to 30th of April and most of us who ordered lunar white are still waiting as the shipping date had been revised to September. So if you ordered on 25th of May, you might have to wait till 2022?

      • Yeah that's what I'm wondering, if it's the same for black now too, but fingers crossed

        • Yes hope we all get it before September. Those who ordered the black ones were the lucky ones.
