Decent price for the 8GB version.

The 6GB is US$229.00 not delivered, and the premier sale is still the cheapest for that version.

I'm getting a 'Due to policy reasons, this product does not exist' message when visiting the link.

    • Seems to work on mobile, though, so no problems.

  • -4

Conversion is 50% more, so most likely $375+

    • Trick is to directly pay in USD and use a card with no international transaction fee (Macquarie debit card, Bankwest platinum, 28 degrees etc etc.).

  • -1

Why is this deal on the homepage with only 8 up votes?

    • +11

      The mods took a bribe

    • See Front Page Algorhtm. While I can't confirm the deal hit the front page at 8 votes it is possible if the site is slow at the time and allows the front page to be more dynamic.

Deals are ordered by internal score which is calculated from the popularity (votes) and freshness (how recent it has been posted), similar to Reddit & Hacker News. Internal score of individual deals might get altered by various factors.

As for the conspiracy rubbish about bribes, I'll take that comment as a joke.

  • Anyone dealt with returns to Banggood?

Been looking at both this and the F3 but I feel with the few Xiaomi products I've owned, the quality control has been sub par and have had various hardware issues within a couple of months.

    • +3

which product has had bad quality control?

Why don't you take up the Samsung trade up deal if you are concern about this Xiaomi phone?

      • Samsung quality control is no better in my experience, my S20 FE had very poor touchscreen quality with ghost touches included. Not worth paying top dollar for any flagship, or paying for bloatware. I'd highly recommend Motorola, Sony, Google or Nokia.

        • +1

          I'd highly recommend Motorola

          Thanks mate

    • +13

Banggood are the worst for after sales returns , support, service I returned two faulty phones straight out of the box's after and a month of BS response or nothing from Banggood I got refund from PayPal I say avoid Banggood at all costs .

Calling dips on the obligatory 'No band 28' comment.

    • Is that required for 5g?

      • No band 28 is Telstra Rural Band??

      • +3

        This phone doesn't have 5G.

    • +9

It has band 28. Banggood usually has incorrect specs, so you always need to double check.

      • That's good to know!

      • what is the band 28 purpose?

        • +3

It's a band that Optus uses for their 4G network (and if I am not mistaken, Telstra as well) . But as mentioned above, this phone does have B28.

        • +1

Useful if you live or routinely travel outside metro areas.

  • +2

X3 Pro has NOT arrived yet from AusPost

Very much doubt Banggood has any stock

    This is just pure Advertisement

    • +1

As i understand from earlier deals they werent going to start shipping out until April 29.
(I interpreted the fine print of this phone on the site before this date as effectively a 'pre-orders')

  • -5

Very good phone, using since 5 month.

    • +8

It s been out less than a month?

      • +2

Lol cut him some slack. Imsoowas seems to have mistaken pro version to be Poco x3

    • How's the camera quality? Does it take 16:9 photos well?

      • +1

It's not great camera phone. If you looking for a camera phone, look at the Redmi Note 10 Pro. It has a better AMOLED screen as well, but a slower CPU

        • Thanks mate, might hold out for a redmi sale

      • +2

Not a bad camera by any means. I have this phone for approx 2 weeks and it does a very good job. Portrait gives nice creamy bokeh and great separation of subject with nice sharp details. Other modes are pretty well performing too.

Yes not in the same league of Samsung or Iphone flagships cams out there but a lot more bang for the bucks in this price range. Also good photo is all about learning your lens capability and composition. In post processing one can lift photos drastically.

Overall phone quality is top notch and screen is really good. Might be just a little under performing in direct sunlight. MIUI Software is pretty decent and I have got two updates of it so far.

Overall I am happy with it and Hope it lasts long.

    • Poco X3 Pro was released March 24 2021.

    • Probably not the PRO variant

  • +3

Nice that it takes an SD card up to 1TB and has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

  • +3

Says estimated to ship before May 22, 2021 after placing the order, although product page says ships in 24 hours. I've been burned before by them

    • Yet now it says processing

  • Oh man perfect except for the lack of an OLED screen. But wow what specs for the price.

    • +3

Some prefer IPS to avoid OLED PWM flicker.

      • Yeah but I believe modern OELD phones have the DC dimming option now that should help with that.

        • Not the xiaomi

      • +1

That flicker has turned me off OLED's maybe forever..

        • +1

Yes totally understandable. I believe all OLEDs still flicker at a low or even any brightness. Would be very happy to stand corrected and see any evidence otherwise.

  • I don't see the 8GB version on the link…?

  • Aw damn, I just bought the 128gb version from them 2 weeks ago.

    • Has it been shipped by them yet?

      • Yeah, for better or worse.

  • +1

This or huawei mate 20 pro?

    • Yeah I'm in the same boat, currently have mate 20 pro thinking about buying this tho

Umidigi Bison GT on Umidigi Ebay Australia Store. Australian stock/Warranty - Around $300 delivered.

Not sure how it compares, but I am awaiting delivery. Reviews seem to be good.

    • Noice.

    • Bison GT using an awful mediatek CPU as per most extreme budget phones, it's roughly half the speed of this Poco phone.

    • I really like the Bison phone was top of my list about 2 months ago. Cant remember why i dropped it. I think it was mainly the looks. My friends were telling me to get something with more memory and better CPU.

  • +2

Damn the specs on this, why not more upvotes?

    • Because of the store it's from, will probably take over a month to arrive and if your phone has a problem forget about any after sales support or warranty. Make sure you buy with PayPal using a credit card with goods insurance activated on it so you can claim if you have any issues.

      • You're right. Screw it, not waiting months for this.

  • Really good price for the spec

  • +1

    This the best budget phone?
Always see it referenced in other deals, but can't keep up with which version is best.

    • +1

Has to be. Specs are fantastic at this price point. But these guys are horrid at returns.

      • Better at returns compared to gearbest.

But when it comes to mobiles I don't think any Chinese seller will be trustworthy

  • +2

This one ticks all the boxes for me… NFC, microSD expansion, 3.5mm jack, B28.. plus a decent SD chipset. Probably the best you can get at this price point. Only downside is that it doesn't have 5G, but 4G is pretty fast already for my use so it's not a deal breaker, and certainly not at this price point.

    • +1

I can't think of any time using my phone that 4G was too slow to do something. Normally it's the shit coding in apps that slows down my tasks rather than my internet download speed.

  • +4

    Poco X3 NFC owner here.

It's a fantastic phone for the price (I paid $350 from Amazon UK). It comes with a 2yr warranty, confirmed with Amazon support by a number of people.

Poco X3 Pro builds up on a solid based and makes this phone one of the best mid rangers out there. The only downgrade is in the camera department:
    https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=10415&idPhone…

My recommendation is to pay a bit more for a piece of mind and get it from Amazon instead:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Poco-Pro-Smartphone-DotDisplay-Sna…

    • You're right, but that's a big price jump! If it ever goes back to $350. Amazon is by far the best place to buy this from.

Looks like that link, cheapest it has been was $415.

      • The 128gb was ~$339 a couple of weeks ago

        • Ah, thanks, might jump on the Amazon bandwagon. Some people been waiting months from this mob.

  • +1

I am using this phone right now and I really like it. Coming from a G6, the overall size of the phone and placement of the fingerprint reader took some getting used to.

It is a fairly heavy phone!! 245g with the included clear case! Its noticeable… But if I need to use it to throw at someone, its going to be like a good solid rock.

But the 120hz screen, and extra screen real estate is just awesome.

The camera is very good, considering the price of the phone.

MIUI 12 is a dream to use. Not sure if all Android 11 phones are like this but for the price is just insanely good.

  • Currently using Samsung Note 8 with a very slightly, not very noticeable cracked screen. Will this be an upgrade or should continue with the Note ?

  • +1

Just got mine a couple of days ago. Pretty happy so far. Really like the UI which is much more understated than previous MIUI phones I have owned. Battery life is excellent. The fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button is pretty cool too. Haven't found anything I really dislike about it yet!

    • Where from?

      • +2

Ordered from AliExpress a few weeks ago.

  • +1

The specs seems crazy for the price point. I wonder why this doesn't attract more votes.

Also seems like 5% cash back from CR?

    • Yep. I forgot to add that to the description but I though cashrewards or shopback was a given if you're on ozbargain.
I have AUD$15.96 back if cashrewards does track and looking at my history it's been pretty crap so far. Only 1 item tracked and approved this year. Though I do amazon a lot and most of the items are not eligible for it.

  • +1

Still waiting for shipment from Banggood. Anyone knows how long would it take?

    • No idea. Mine has a status of processing which doesn't really mean anything. I give it a month before I actually receive this thing.

    • mine says will ship before the 23rd

  • Dang it, just ordered the 6gb for this price yesterday -_-

  • Dammit. Ordered it at $299 USD a week ago.

  • This has better specs than my Oppo Reno 5g except it doesn't have 5g.

  • +2

The display is LCD, isn't it? I have been hoping to see a model similar to Oneplus 7T Pro (without notch) with NFC feature. Xiaomi 9T Pro is my nominee but I have yet to see a decent deal on it.

    • Yes it's an IPS LCD display. The Poco X3 Pro does have NFC though, it's the successor to the the Poco X3 NFC and has same form factor but better specs.

  • +2

Pro tip for anyone who orders and wants to accessorise: Poco X3 NFC cases are the same size and fit perfectly.

  • My order says estimated to ship before may 22 but now says it's processing.
