  • How’s this different to normal normal orbi 50 which is also ac3000?

    • I had a quick look and the SRK60 can create 3 Wi-Fi SSIDs that are isolated from your main Wi-Fi and it has wall and ceiling mount options. There are Wi-Fi 6 options at this price or less.

      • Can you suggest a really good WIFI 6 alternative please?

        • A Wi-Fi 6 router on it's own or a Wi-Fi 6 mesh?

  • +4

Idk I don't think I'd cop this much for something without wifi 6, prefer to future proof for this price

  • Tri-Band?

    • A dedicated Wi-Fi band for network traffic.

      • -5

        Meaning?

        • +2

          meaning

          2.4 Ghz Channel
          5Ghz Channel
          both available to devices
and a separate 5Ghz band channel for the mesh devices to send traffic on.

dual/mono band ones use the same channel as devices to send traffic along, making them in theory slower, as the band is shared with devices connecting & the back haul to your router/modem

          Meaning?

What a rude and demanding way to ask a stranger for help for free.

          • @PainToad: I thought I was just being succinct but clearly people don't see it that way

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/620361#comment-10405137 <— Just keep this in mind when ordering

Negging based on this. If item is advertised as in stock at time of purchase then moves out to pre order I’d want the option to either cancel with full refund or to wait.

Thanks for this. I won't support a business like this and will look elsewhere.

Also a quick Google search will show much cheaper elsewhere.

    • +1

Thanks for your link. Wont support this business.

      • +4

So you gave them a +1?

        • +1

Actually I voted for the product, not for the company. I read the comment and forgot to revoke my vote :D

  • Is this really a good deal? I bought rbk50 for around $370 last year from JB.

  • Feels kind of overpriced.

    • $575 at scorptec

  • I thought this was the wifi6 units at this price…lol?

  • +4

Cheaper at $575 and in stock at scorptec: https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/networking/modems-&-rout…

Also based on the link above a seller with dodgy practices.

If i could give it 2 negs i would

      There you go.

Well, I needed to comment to neg, so not really. (Dodgy ordering and refund practices for the mods)

    • +1

      Negged the deal

    • For sure, thanks for the heads up, negged.

  • Can these just be connected to your existing modem or is a Netgear modem needed?
