Was keen until you called them bad boys.

Any details on the leather? Is this full grain, top grain, bonded, chrome-tanned, veg-tanned, automotive leather?

I noticed it's described as 'leather made' whatever that is, sounds suss though.

do the different leather types hinder performance? xD

      • +7

It's going to be the difference between the leather wearing in nicely or it cracking and peeling in 12 months and going in the bin, so yeah it does. Also cheap leathers feel cheap and this is meant for your arms to rest on.

can hinder quality, durability and overall feel :)

        • durability we're pretty confident on - comes with a 5 year warranty, and most of our customers have been happy with the feel so far :-)

It is "microfiber leather" according to their specification sheet. Microfiber leather is a type of synthetic leather.

      • +2

Yeah from the vagueness of the listing and lack of response to my question I’m not surprised.

      • Microfibre leather is still PU faux leather, albeit a higher grade. False advertising

So what separates these ‘leather’ desk mats from the ones in say Aliexpress that go for 10 bucks or so?

At the moment ‘Desky’ looking like a enterprising drop shipping operation

    • I'm assuming this is real leather. You can't get real leather desk pads for $10.

      • +1

Specifications say it is ‘microfibre leather’ and you can certainly get those for 10 bucks

        • We're both right then, it's not real leather

        • any recommendations?

      • +1

But you can sell fake leather for real leather prices ;)

  • you need to offer gold imprint service, it can be a good idea as a gift.

  • Sorry Guys,

didn't intend on ghosting the thread just got smashed at work! Correct Microfiber leather - no animals were harmed in the making of this product :-)

They have been selling quite well and customers have been happy with the quality (as are we, use them in our offices too!)

You can see some customer pics in the review section of the product page.

We try our best to bring what we think Oz bargainers will like to the forum so appreciate the feedback and understand we can't please everyone although we do try!

Will see what i can get approved from the higher ups coming into EOFY, keep your eyes peeled.
