130

Came across these while looking for a new pair of axle stands.
I can't comment on the quality but they seem to be ok and have good reviews on SCA site.

3000kg capacity per pair.

    Good deal, yes.

Personally though, I would avoid ratchet style axle stands and go with pin type.

Agree with above. Please consider buying a "pin secured" jack stands.

There have been multiple reports ratchet stands are prone to accidental knocks and slippages.

    Stay safe.

    • I never thought about this. Damn you're absolutely right! The danger seems so bleeding obvious now. I'm safe because is use these ratchets under the axles, pin type under the subframe and leave the jack in place. But you've given cause for thought. Thank you.

  • I have a pair of these and think they're good quality. They're also quite high so give decent clearance to work under the car without even having to ratchet it up for height. I work on my subaru impreza and mini.

I always place spare tyres under the frame of the car and bricks etc under the tyres as fall back for safety.

You would need a high enough jack as well, otherwise will be unable to put it under the car on even the lowest.

    • yeah i kinda face the similar problem have to lift using the standard trolley jack quite a lot, wish i had a Floor Jack though

  • I'm very happy with quality of the 2 sets I brought of these at the end of March. Got mine at the time on special for $40 each.

  • Are store brands the only ones for sale these days? I often see recalls on jack stands. is there a brand out there that has a more reliable reputation?

    Just use a forklift.

    • You got 20k for a forklift and a license to use one?

      • Do it at work

        • lucky you then

  • Auto Ratchet Car Axle Stands

I was thinking you could literally ratchet them up and down(like using them webbing straps) instead of manually lifting the beam up and down and then placing the ratchet lever down to lock it into place but noo, these are just normal ratachet stands not the ones you could go up and down without needing to touch the middle beam thing.
