  • Nice thanks!

  • Can anyone recommend this or a backpack which is good for work purposes - something that’s able to fit in lunch box, water bottle etc

    • +3

There is a dell backpack promo post…

      • Those dell backpacks are garbage. I've already thrown mine out.

The zipper went around the back, under the back-straps… The most inconvenient backpack design i've ever seen. Crap materials. Wouldn't recommend it at all.

Ended up coughing up for a Bellroy.

        • which Bellroy bag did up settle on?

        • The pro backpack has the zips in front. Which one did you own and how long did it last?

Supposed to have 3 year warranty

    • "Work purposes" is pretty vague. Are you in an office, a warehouse, outside, manual labour?

If all you want to do is carry a lunch box and a water bottle, pretty much anything is going to do. I'd personally lean to something a bit less technical and more casual though, and something a bit more professional looking for an office environment.

    • This will fit a lunch box, a water bottle (in the sides) and maybe a thin jacket. It wouldn’t hold much more though so depends on your needs. I have one and I like it a lot. It is very well made

    • My old osprey could 'just' squeeze in an A4 clipboard. Wouldn't be able to fit a folder though

I recommend the Osprey Talon its my do to day hike pack, not too big, but can pack a lot in if you need to. Mesh back allows lots more air movement than std. backpack is great, would be good especially if your using to commute.

Good build quality & also really good experience with warranty when I accidentally broke hydration pack fitting, rang up no questions just sent out a new one pronto.

      • one of favorites. so versatile. riding, trekking, camping, travel. lightweight, best comfort, range of size. osprey has abgreat range and some of the best designs. got it for about $120 on sale

I bought this having read it wasn't the best design and tend to agree, but it does the job and most of the time fits what I need. Material quality is great and still looks new.

The water bottle pockets on the side can't hold anything much without it falling out and are a waste of space for my purpose (and there is a not a lot of space to start with). The open jacket pocket also rarely gets used by me and I would rather it was not there. But I knew these things and it was so cheap at the time and I got it anyway and have been happy enough. Have fit a small laptop and thin 15 inch external screen together in there.

      • Ditto ditto ditto - identical experience, including 14" 1.4kg laptop plus 15.6" usb display

I have an older osprey, it's held up well.

Keep in mind, 13l is small, and the nylon has faded.

  • My 13l osprey can fit a fair bit. Can easily fit a lunch box water bottle and thin jacket

        • Same! Which ones did you buy?

I bought the gaming lite 17” and gaming backpack 17”

          • @HeyPapito: I bought two of the standard ones. Because reasons.

          • @HeyPapito: Bought all of them and the laptop bags too. All choose the best ones then send the others back

            • @AussieMark: Damn why didn't I think of that.

Also why did I get negged for my comment above? :(

    Bought the same, thanks OP.

  • Found a review. Looks good for the money to me. And it comes with an inbuilt whistle. Whoopee!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALlVP19mOFU

Only the red available for online order now but it's a deep burgundy red that isn't too garish.

    • In built whistle? Where

      • +1

typically as part of the buckle on the sternum strap

Didn’t need another pack but I purchased one anyway. I have packs from Maxpedition, Mystery Ranch, 5.11 and Tom Bihn but none come close to the comfort of my Osprey Quasar.

Thanks OP picked up a black bag.

Hi I can’t find the online link on their website anymore to the clearance price on this day lite 13. Do I just call the Parramatta store directly? Thanks for any help.

  • Has anyone received their tracking number yet or had a dispatch notification?

I bought mine on Sunday, sending to the Sydney CBD store for click and collect but no notification so far.

    • Got mine delivered yesterday, ordered on the 9th as well. They emailed notifying that they received a lot of orders so expect delay. I'm not associated with the shop just relaying the message I got.

      • +1

Mine came late yesterday afternoon so all good! Thanks for posting the deal

  • I got an email this morning, offering me the Daylite in red as all the black ones were sold out. I chose the red, for a cheap pack I can’t really complain.
