640

Posting this deal as the Xbox Series X is back in stock on the Microsoft website (deal post) and these gift cards can be used to purchase it. You can buy a maximum of $500 which would mean a saving of $45 off the RRP of an Xbox Series X if you use it for that purchase

Edit: 12/05 4.27pm - Xbox Series X now out of stock at Microsoft.

Edit: 12/05 7:18pm - Seems to be going in and out of stock, if its out of stock refresh every 10 minutes or so

Can these be used for ultimate game passes as well?

    • +2

      yes

Where is the cheapest place to get a game pass these days?

      • +2

Pretty sure Eneba with the EA Play conversion. Haven't checked for a week or so though.

Xbox seems to be out of stock again, good to stock up before the next time it's live. I believe you can load these into your Microsoft account and apply it to the console when purchasing.

  • So the choice is $50 off your new Xbox for those with access to the discounted gift cards via Suncorp, or $80 off for those who saved the Microsoft AU offer to their AMEX.

    Too late.

    • +2

You could do both couldn't you? $400 on amex ($80 cashback), $350 on gift cards (costs $318.5, saving $31.5). Total saving $111.5 after cashback unless I missed something (only skimmed the amex deal, saw purchase eligibility is $400)

      • Possibly. Not sure if use of gift cards was permitted for the statement credits? Moot point now though I guess.

        • +1

Amex will just go on the spend, not tracked like cashback sites. Still valid strategy, wait until Xbox is back in stock (or can use to buy something else I guess)

          • @Preferred Username: Thanks for clarifying - good to know.

            • @CamM: Stack again with 1.5% cashrewards (which will go off the total purchase price) for another $11.25, so potentially $123 savings

              • @Preferred Username: @preferred username.. did you do this? Double stacking with giftcards and amex? I thought about it but I didn't want to wait around and have it sold out. I usually double stack these but didn't this time round

                • @PreSsieGuY: I havent, but can't see any reason why it wouldn't work (it's just 2 payment methods, and amex is based on spend at the merchant using the card). A few other have mentioned to buy the gift cards and just load them onto the account, then when in-stock just finish the payment.

  • Slightly off topic but can you get discounts for the PlayStation store?

Or are there sales for credit?

    • +1

Don't think PlayStation is on there. But what I usually do is buy JB gift cards at 5% discount and then use those to buy PS Store credit.

      • Oh awesome. Thanks.
Wasn’t sure if they allowed gift cards for gift cards haha

The moral of the story is, don't take time oomm aaah analysing XBox One series X deals. Snap it before it is OOS. Buy first, think/ask later ;-)

    • Back in stock if you want it now ;)

      • Not my luck. OOS each time I get to check out.

  • Good to top up balance.

Be sure to keep refreshing the purchase page for the next few hours if you missed out, as they're continuously restocking:

    Awesome, let me get uhhhhh…. a PS5

  • Dumb question:
Do I need to be a customer of Suncorp to get this benefit? (I'm assuming so)

    • +1

yes, or know someone who has access to the benefit to help purchase it for you.

      • Thanks.
I get 5% through my work, so that's probably as good as I'll get.

    • +1

Or AAMI. I use it through aami.

    • Maybe it works with the AAMI insurance if you choose it for your CTP?

      • I was able to add my AAMI greenslip policy to the Suncorp app so it should work.

  • I've got an Xbox eGift card in my shopping cart (Suncorp app) but it's asking for a coupon code at checkout. I can't pay without. Anyone knows what this means?

    • You don't need to add anything to that field … leave it blank

      • The "Pay now" button is disabled (grey).

        • Mine is not greyed out, it is yellow. Are you sure you have added/linked a card? I have selected payment option, left CVV empty, no promo code and Pay Now is in yellow. Note maximum gift cards per month is $500.

Xbox X back in stock now.

I got an Xbox X about 30 minutes ago but it's now "out of stock" again. It's changing during the day. Keep on refreshing ;-)

  • After painstakingly converting $600 jbhifi gift cards $100 at a time to xbox codes, found this deal to top of the rest needed and was able order an Xbox through Microsoft. Though I see it is out of stock again now!

    • They must release a small amount of XSX consoles at a time because it's been going in and out of stock for last few days now

      • Just got my shipped notification. If anyone’s gonna have stock, it’ll be them.
