    Sad No Dolby Atmos!

    • +2

I think the whole Dolby Atmos thing has been discussed to the world's end on OZ Bargain, but let me tell you as someone that has spend a good part of my life earnings on sound throughout my entire life, Dolby Atmos on any soundbar is a gimmick. For the true Dolby Atmos experience you need to buy individual speakers, have the correct amplifier powering them and the right room correctly setup and collaborated. Do not expect Dolby Atmos in any sound bar, even it is advertised. It is a marketing ploy by these companies to grab your $$.

Saying this, this soundbar is great at its current price point. Unless your an audiophile, you'll be really happy with this if you're looking for better sound.

      • So would a 5.1.2 soundbar with two rear speakers work for atmos? It seems like home sound systems are gone unless you want to spend over $1k.

  • Great soundbar but pity Yammy is only focussed on releasing the low end products rather than updates to premium goods the likes of 2700 and 5600

  • I've already got a yas 108 ($200 yammy soundbar), would something like this give a noticeable boost in quality.

    • Night and day difference. Two sound bars at two totally different ends of the market. So the answer is yes. I've owned 3 of the YSP2700 soundbars and will recommend them to anyone.

      • Curious… why 3? I have one. Approx 4.5 years old. It’s been great until 2-3 months ago… it started randomly making a consistent low humming sound. It’s come and gone a few times. A power off/on doesn’t seem to fix it when present :/

  • How is this one compared to the lg/Samsung top end models?

      Yamaha X 100

  • Can I add rear speakers to this?

  • This or Sonos with sub?
