    You can treat it like a blazer for less formal events. Wear it with chinos instead of slacks. A wedding, races, some parties. I've done it before.

  The problem with generally having your suits made is that you don’t know what size you may be.

    Suit sizes are measurements anyway so if you have yours made you can use the measurements they took, if in doubt about the cut/fit go one size up. Obviously not as specific as a bespoke but you can always tailor down, some jackets will let you "open" them up but I wouldn't rely on that.
