  Fossil Gen 5.0 or the new Pixel smartwatch being announced today…? Surely Fossil being owned by Google doesn't indicate they are clearing old stock in preparation for a new model nobody else knows about yet.

        From what I'm reading, an announcement looks very highly unlikely. The evidence isn't there either - no leaks and very inaccurate track records for Pixel Watch leaks. There's always speculation, heck there were rumours OnePlus would release a watch.
