    What’s the difference between Sub Gen 1, 2 and 3? I tried to search hard and found some info from some forum like minor cosmetic change and different drivers but not much sound difference. Anyone have the sub can comment?

    Massive difference in sound. The sound stage is more immersive and has greater depth. Drop into any Jb and test it out. They usually have a display where you can test their speakers and sub. It’s one of the best things I brought.

    i have the playbase but honestly not that impressed as compared to homepod.

    my local store has still the sub but not sure if its worth it.

    Check your local store, some still has stock. Just picked up a playbase at Maryland NSW. Sydney City Oxford Street still has stock as well.

    ok got the sub but my old powered sub has deeper bass. cant say i can really feel earth shattering sound. even at max settings.

      Better off buying 2 playbase at this price and pair them together via app (yet to try this tomorrow) if you have hidden cabinet space .

      The playbase has a decent sub it

          I checked the app, if you go to the app and select your playbase you have the option of setting it up as surround speakers. And to do that you need two playbase.

    Picked up one in Vic.

    Only showed as essendon DFO having stock but they were out.

    Found one closer to me anyways.

    They guy who served me said there was one black one left but he was going to nab it at 1700 when he knocked off. He thought they had sold out of them all.

    Get them to check in the back stock rooms. There are still some laying around.

    So happy OP shared this.

    2 years warranty on a brand new system too.

        Screenshot not required. It comes up on the system as 249. The problem you will have is finding stock. It was the third store I called. Greensbourgh. Best of luck on the hunt. Be nice on the phone and ask politely to see if they can check for stock out the back. It was discontinued a while ago. All stores should be showing out of stock but again you never know your luck. I am loving the optical link and surround I now get out of the speakers. Well worth it at this price point.
