  • I wonder if the $10 sign up would work on this

    • Yes! It did on mine. Was planning to buy another 1 separately to use the $10 voucher code for but I tested using it on the first one. And it worked!.
I guess "on your next purhcase" don't really matter as long as u use the voucher sent to your email.

  • Is it much of an improvement for my good ol' Charge 2?

    • +1

Not sure compared to Charge 2, it has the GPS built in compared to the previous ones. If you don't need that, it's probably not a huge upgrade.

      • +6

Plenty of reviews and comparisons on the internet.

Looks like it has a bigger display, payment NFC capability, GPS, active heart zone and more features compared to charge 2.

        • Also has a water resistance rating, can't remember what it is but enough to go swimming with if the exercise option is anything to go by.

  • Unable to buy - I think OOS :/

    • Seems ok for me.

      • You're right - I logged in and it worked. Might have been some weird browser setting I have.

$105.96 after claiming 4000 Flybuys points plus cash back $18.89, so total for me is $87.07, pretty good deal.

    • Awesome. Is the 4000 flybuys points a deal? I didn't even put my flybuys number :-( But still happy with the price I paid.

    • +1

      How? The 4000 flybuys

      • Login with your flybuys number and you can exchange points for dollars off

        • No i mean how to get 4000 points from buying this fitbit? @cloudie9..

Oh he used his own 4000 fb points to reduce the purchase price…..

I don't know we can pay target with flybuys (online shops). In store yes

          • @CyberMurning: Yeah, from my stacks of flybuys points I accumulated over the years from eBay Plus benefits back then (which is now defunct)

            • +1

@cloudie9: ok yup just tried it indeed gives options to redeem.
              learn something new today

    • Dang, I had nearly 60000 points and just used them all this very evening to buy flights. Ah well.

  • How is Fitbit pay? Mostly wanting to use for payment on Sydney trains/bus.

    • Easy

  • Stacks with the $10 sign-up bonus. So I paid $97.07 all up (minus cashback)

    • Don't know if cash back qualifys after the sign up bonus

      • I think its risky, hence why I don't use the vouchers.

    • +1

Doesn't stack as per previous deals I have read. Your cashback will eventually be rejected.

  • Possible to get a strap that would fit a 6 year old?
I suspect my nephew has been having sleep issues and want to check spO2

    • I think need premium subscription for spO2 feature

      • Not for blood oxygen variation during sleep :)

  • got it thanks op

Got the Charge 3 for a similar price back in 2019 lasted a year and a half before both my screen and wifes screen faded to where we couldnt see it all the sensors still worked though so just beware that might not last 2 years (warranty is only 1 year) other than that they work great for that price

    • They are not the most reliable of devices. Mine is faded, it doesn't turn on when you flick your wrist.. And syncing/pairing can be very hit and miss. But when it works its decent.. Their online site and app are also good. Feels like they should be priced more around the Xioami smart band prices of < $100

    • I had a charge and the watch to band part broke around 2 years. It is pretty much built to break with repetitive use. My watch bit still works, just the band fallen totally apart.

      • I believe the 2 year warranty is for EU region only though ill be happy to be wrong :)

        • Doesn't Australian consumer law also cover two years?

          • @lordra: Just going by what was in their warranty booklet for the charge 3 and sense

            • @Cyclone: Yea, you're right, they do say that on all of their products that I've owned. However, my FBC3 's display just went fuzzy. All I was doing was sitting at my desk. It's 16 months old. They replaced it, no questions asked.

    • ive owned a fitbit ionic and it's pretty much died every 12 months due to some boot loop error.

i've had it replaced twice by support and usually it was pain free. on the last occasion they offered to replace or choose a different device at a discount.

this was however before google bought out fitbit so im not sure if the support is the same.

      • I sad also offered a replacement device for free or a 50% discount on an upgrade in the same series (charge 3)

  • Thanks OP for this! Just wondering how were you able to get $18.89 from cashrewards? I only got $5ish. :(
A discount's a discount though. But I'm just curious for future reference. thank you! :)

15% cashback special was just for yesterday. Sorry I should have put date in the description instead of "today"

      • oh! I figured it was that "today" :). Bugger!
        Anyways, like I said, "a discount's a discount".
        Thank you OP!

          Removed to avoid confusion.

          • @m k d: I just purchased this. Shopback says they have up to 20% cashback for Target. Note the "up to".

I had one and returned it, because while it collects the GPS data during a run, it ignores it for the statistics and bases distance & speed on counting steps and estimated stride length. Which is of course completely ridiculous. It only uses the GPS for the line on the map. So do not get this if you want to see how far and how fast you are running.

  • My son returned his as the battery life (with GPS and heart rate turned off) was less than 4 days. Much lower than the advertised 7 days.
