Same price at PCCaseGear + delivery too, both on their website or ebay if you prefer Afterpay.

EDIT: looks like OP added the free shipping part after I posted so PCCaseGear will only be the same if picking up

Waiting for the 6900x purely for the name.

    • +1

      Yep me too
      I have a 6900xt paired with a r5 3600 (lol)

      • +1

Wait, what position is 36? Can we say “salad tossing” on ozb without getting our post deleted?

    • +1

Just the push I needed to upgrade my CPU

    • Will that pair well with the AMD Radeon RX 6900 gpu?

      • +1

        6900xt with a 6900xt

        • Will give birth to 13800TX SSD

    • I'm pairing 5900x with an old 1050, as I don't have money to buy hyped up graphics cards

      • +1

I actually found a 1050ti system on the street late last year when the new consoles came out. It was stuck in a bootloop.

I'm guessing someone got sick of PC gaming.

      • Good man. Stay true to the ozbargain gods code of honor and don't pay above normal retail/msrp prices.
I'll be waiting a while for a decent priced GPU too to go with my 5800x.

    • LOL. Man of culture.

Great CPU for programming with dockers. To be honest it's an overkill. I never reach CPU 100% at any point, unless i'm running the bench

      4 chrome tabs

      • Better off with 128GB ram

  • Can I pair this with a 520m motherboard?

  • can this play minesweeper ?

    • well, you will need to overclock it first.

    • That reminds me of the turbo button on the dx2 66 486 , slow the clock speed so you could play the old games/programs

  • Anyone still in the ple line should grab this

  • Feel like I might as well wait for the 5900XT at this point.

Deals on the 5900x is big news. Retailers competing on price implies that stock issues are easing. Too bad gpu stock hasnt got any light at the end of the tunnel atm.

With crypto crashing recently it could be sooner rather than later. Can only hope.

      • I feel like we are seeing plenty stock of cpu’s etc because vendors are buying these in bundles with the rtx 30xx cards.

      • +1

Crypto is going through some much needed corrections.

      • Or is it the strong AUD

      • +1

        Apparently its already recovering :(
Fingers crossed it crashes and burns BIG soon.

        • Why?

Crypto is here to stay, but we can all hope proof of work dies an awful death or becomes half a dozen orders of magnitude more efficient.

    • People can't buy gpu so they're not buying high end cpu

  • It seems like thousands of 5900X's all landed in Australia in April.

There was none available for a long time, prices were high for scalpers. Then from April onwards, all the retailers have stock and are back to $ RRP.

Feel hesitant to build on AMD because of the reported USB issues, despite the performance margin over Intel. Seems to be common still after the supposed fix was released

    • Link to these issues???

      • Do a Google search on "AMD USB issues", you will find lots of results about it, including the AMD subreddit

      • I manage 50 3950x on b550 motherboards and can confirm the usb issues are real and annoying.
