  • Not surprised by delivery would be next day in Melbourne considering Amazon Australia's only currently operating distribution centre is there in Dandenong South…

    • We're the best :)

    • Not the only one. There's a fulfilment centre in Brisbane. Showing next day delivery for me too (Bris).

Why do they often put only 8 GB of ram? Looking for a laptop (new or not) for my wife for a several months, need something light, with good battery life, 13-14 inches. Nothing too powerful but at least 16 GB of ram.

What would be a good choice?

      • Thats an amazing price. Basically half price of the equivalent in Australia. I've never bought a laptop from the US though, scary concept.

        • About as scary as crossing the road without a parent holding your hand.

@xyron: lol, i of course just mean warranty issues need to be looked into in regards to who and how that could be honoured.

            • @borgsta: It's a $1000 laptop. If I have even a minor bingle in my car I'll be up for nearly that much in excess. It's not actually a big deal. I can count on one hand the number of warranty issues I've had with tech I've bought over the last 15 years (and I've bought a lot). It's a risk that's way over-estimated IMO.

        • So I originally purchased this from Amazon AU via Amazon US - but my screen dated flickering etc, so I returned.

I then bought this from the link above, and no issues :)

      • Thank you, uncle ! :-)

      • What was the price at time of posting? Looked at it.. Then took a call. Then back to it. My memory might be failing but I felt it creeped up.

        • Looks same to uncle

  • $880 Pity the drive is a little small

    • Can easily upgrade the SSD, it's the soldered RAM that's a concern. I'd really be wanting 16gb these days.

    • Huh?

      • I read that as Gusper misplacing a reply to the Amazon Lenova offer which is $880 shipped [ and the same sized drive] or getting a bit mixed up in the reply and Xyron assuming he was talking about the Asus [it's not an acronym so I'll spell it in English]…

  • Does this model include the virtual numpad on the touchpad? It's in the pictures but can't see it mentioned in the listing description
