Re Melbourne-sydney Rex still has tickets for $39 which includes a snack and check in luggage. Jetstar special price are only for Tuesday and Wednesday whereas Rex has more flexibility.

  Rex slug you with $100 in fees when you actually go through to booking. I am actually surprised the ACCC has not been alerted to their bait and switch tactics yet.

    Don't know what fees you mean. Seat selection starts from $6. Maybe you tried to book seats at the front? I chose no seat selection and wasn't charged extra. Paid $2.40 for sms confirmation but that was it. Total was approximately $240 return for 3 people
