    Refinanced my home loan with them two months ago. It was a breeze. Since then they have dropped my rates from 2.19% to 1.99%

    Been with them for over a year.

    Found the whole process pretty good. The only thing to complain about was in the initial stages during the document uploads not being very clear and one of their specialist had to call me to get the right documents. Prob improved by now though.

    Once I signed up I didn't have to worry about anything other than text messages once a month to remind me they're taking $x repayment and the rate reductions! Stand by their value that all their customers with the same loan types have the same rates and no loyalty tax! Highly recommend Athena :)

      Have you tried a redraw yet? I'm wondering how long it takes to transfer, as my current lender is instant and I leave majority of my money in there.

    does anyone know when you refinance from another bank, in addition to the bank mortgage discharge fee, what other fee is generally charged? when i signed up with macq bank, they charged me registration fee on the mortgage, title search fee, discharge of mortgage, and some transfer fee. Would I be required to pay all of these again when I exit from Macq bank and go to Athena? Athena does make a note of these in their refinance fee area as 'government refinance cost' of $260-$440. Can someone confirm please?

      I switched from loans.com.au to Athena.

      I had to pay loans.com.au
      1) discharge fee around $300
      2) some documentation fee around $300

      And pay Athena
      1) some gov fee (should be the same as what you've written) around $300

      I asked Athena multiple times, they said no fees except for the gov charges.

      But that's it. I did not have any other fees. All up I paid about $900 to refinance

        thanks mate. i suspect id be paying almost the same. my govt fees were fairly high when i signed up with macq bank, so looks like it will be over $300 for govt fee, see this - https://pictr.com/image/BZxQhl

        including $400 discharge from the bank, in total mine will be around $1200 mark..
