Officeworks selling - MacBook Air 13.3" M1 8-CoreCPU 7-CoreGPU 8GB/256GB @$1347 .

Usually $1499 @Apple Store / @JBHIFI

*Even $2 less than Education Price on Apple website.

*I just got it one from Officeworks, wasn't sure if other stores could pricematch/pricebeat. Worth a try if anyone keen.

    Never seen a dramatic drop in price for brand new last gen MBA/MBP in the way you see in Windows laptop.
    Apple seems to be on top of their inventory management and I guess whatever they don't sell can simply be used as refurbished parts for repair. As for authorised retailers, I don't think their margins are high enough to afford a big price slash. While faster variant of M1/M2 with better GPU and more ports are likely to be released sometime this year, rumours had it mini-LED for the MacBook range is postponed until next year, if you need a high end MBP and can afford to pay RRP at launch then it is wise to wait but I doubt there will be major performance boost in the next MBA or base MBP without a bigger price tag. Let's not forget there is a global shortage of chips at the moment, probably not a best time to launch the best weapon in the arsenal anyway.

      Yeah there weren't even clearance prices on the Intel Airs, and they were made completely obsolete overnight.

  Can you charge these with any USB-C laptop charger?
  I can interchange between android phone and multiple windows laptops with the one charger.

        Also look for the one with USB-C power passthrough, so you connect can the laptop charger, along with other devices, to the hub too.

  Went to JB hifi but only gold was in stock.
  The guy couldn't careless saying if I wanted space grey I could pick one up at OW. And immediately found out OW didn't have space grey (in fact any colour) in store either.
  Anyway I was able to get the price matched without issue and chose delivery for $6.99.

  Also it turned out that you could use more than 5 gift cards online and they could also apply for delivery fee.
