looks like nail clipper from saw

  • Is this in any way good for trying to reach ingrown toenails?

    • +1

Probably used in conjunction with something? Depends how bad the ingrown toenail is.

    • Soak your toe in Epsom salts then jam some cotton or tissue under the corner. Repeat every couple of days if needed.

      • ok doc!

        • Lol oops my username, I'm not a doctor but this fixed it for me

      • Not advisable in every scenario. If there a skin break down Epsom salt might drive infection or irritation.

Packing works well, you guessed it, case by case.

Bactogras dressing from the Chemist Works is a much better substitute.

No, ingrown clippers are usually straight cut and very fine-tipped.

Also, I wouldn't recommend cutting down the side of a nail as it more so splits the nail. If you leave a jagged edge (spicule) it'll further drive irritation.

      /Podiatrist.

  • Had one, not sure if same make. But the spring broke on me after a few uses… Otherwise it was super sharp.

  • ..How fricking tough are people's toenails that they need this torture device?

Looks like a good wire stripper

    • +4

I do like a good wired stripper

    • I have in desperation used small wire cutters to cut my nails. Worked well, so the inverse is probably true too.

      • Used large nails to cut your wire cutters?

  • +3

Was going to use them as fishing scissors if my order isn't cancelledšŸ˜†

        Heā€™s a lucky man tonight.

      • I have a feeling she didnā€™t get it to ā€œtrim toenailsā€…

  • +1

Do not cut into corners of the nail as this may cause ingrown toenails

Wtf, Iā€™ve been cutting toenails all the way around through the ā€œwhiteā€ part my whole life and never had a problem.

  • Dang, I should've picked it up right away. It was ready to be picked up and now it has been cancelled.

I got two SMSs this morning, the first saying that my order was ready to pick up, the second (a few minutes later) saying my order had been cancelled.

    • Same here but about 30mins between… unfortunately couldn't get there in that window.

I got the confirmation to go and collect and then a short while later I got a text message saying that my order has been "successfully cancelled" as if it was me that requested the cancellation.

  • Got refunded

Mine has just been cancelled and refunded (PayPal) also.. had received a confirmation email and text it was ready to pick up last night.

Pretty typical for CW. I expected it to be cancelled, but they should at least send an email acknowledging it was a pricing error. Just good customer handling.

  • +1

    effing CW, cancel again

  • received cancel email this morning.

  • cancelled as well. ffs

  • +1

Last night I received a "ready to collect" notification, this morning they cancelled my whole order which included other items I actually needed.

These idiots just lost my ongoing business over $1.99 simply by proving how shady they are.

  • Yep cancelled my order, should have gone yesterday to pick

  • Letā€™s face it. The price was, obviously, wrong. In these situations you roll the dice and it is, mainly, craps. Every now, and again, you win.

    • +1

That CW cancelled the orders was not the problem. It is that they cancelled the orders without explaining why. At least one person had their whole order cancelled rather than the item in question. The email sent to me stated that my order was "successfully cancelled" as if it was me that requested it.

      Very poor effort by CW.

      • Hmmm. You buy into an, obvious, pricing mistake you expect it to fail. However, I agree cancelling the whole order sucked.

  • +1

Same, order ready for pickup then cancelled..
