I think it is a good deal if you want a handy reciprocating saw as pruner. From the specs, it seems better or samilar with makita's dhp484 and DTD153. like the kit here: https://www.bunnings.com.au/makita-18v-2-piece-brushless-com…. that kit was 305 couple days back.
So I think it may not be the best deal, but maybe good enough.

kit includes:
- DCD795 18V XR BRUSHLESS Hammer Drill Driver
- DCF809 18V XR ATOMIC BRUSHLESS Impact Driver
- DCS369 18V XR ATOMIC BRUSHLESS Reciprocating Saw,
- 1 x DCB184 18V XR 5.0Ah Battery Pack, DCB115 Multi voltage Charger.

The Reciprocating Saw is very handy and could be used as a pruner.

    I bought a dewalt drill and Impact Driver with battery and charger for $279 (on sale)

    the Reciprocating Saw is $249 @ Bunnings so this is a great deal

      Can still get a 2 piece set for $299 which is good value with 2 smaller batteries. The larger battery in this kit is good for the recip but 2 smaller ones would be better for the drill and impact so you're not swapping them all the time and it's a lot lighter in your hand.

        It's their lighter compact range. Similar to makita 12v or Milwaukee M12.

        Plenty of trades and situations call for light and compact.

    Apparently it's the more compact version of the tool- less power, less torque - reviews say its equivalent to a 12V version.

    For $399 as well. Ob difference is different saw, but other than that are the drills that different? Ryobi comes with 2 batteries (although smaller capacity) compared to 1. Are the Dewalt tools better quality?

      I would say DeWalt are far better quality tools but if you're just a backyard battler, Ryobi is fine. Warranty is excellent too.
      I personally would take the circular saw and grinder over a recip saw but depends what you're wanting to do. I have all 3 tools and the recip would get used the least for me.

      These are brushed tools though, so will be more power hungry and have a bit less grunt that the brushless equivalent (and what is included in the DeWalt kit). In comparison, the brushless set is $729 for skins only so should give you an idea of how much better brushless is.
