Received an email so can be targeted but from what I can understand it's for everyone with the link. Otherwise looks like a good deal for free $500 and no fees.

    Looks like the $600 cashback redemption is over :(
    $100 cashback now costs 24,000 points. Still same conversion cost as all the gift cards though so still the optimal choice.

      Yeah, just a couple of days ago was able to redeem $100 for 20000 points. Now it's 24000.

    I reached out to HSBC via live chat to re-activate my dormant accounts and also asked about if this offer is still live. They said this offer is no longer available? Can someone else please double check?

      Link works, so definitely still active. Just make sure it has been at least 12 months since you last closed similar HSBC credit card if you had one.

    Wow, applied this morning. Called to clarify on options to submit rental statements. Got approved about 30 mins ago. Best part is the card is appearing in my mobile app so I can add it to Apple Pay for immediate usage too.

                @Ehty: Careful Ehty, I was advised by HSBC support back in October we’d still for the 120,000 points using this other… fast forward to today, still no points, messaged support and they said I’m not eligible.

                I will be fighting it as I was advised I would be eligible; I’d double check with them if I were you.

          How was the application process this time? I remember it was quite tedious when I applied last time. Scan photo id , do selfie, verify income by let log into my account from their portal (in addition to submit payslips)

              @freestyle18: Still same annoying verification steps. Although their selfie recognition seems better this time - last time it took me over 3 times. But i couldn't get the online account income validation working. Must be due to ubank is now splitted between old and new login.

    Applied via the link which has the promo code "PZXOXS21" in the URL last night (the link OP posted).
    Got a call this morning for a list of recent bank transactions so I sent it straight away, then it was approved 1 hour later. Also received an email from HSBC that the credit card has been approved. But the email does not mention anything about Bonus 120,000 Pts ($3K Spend in 90d), 0% Int BT for 26 MOs, $0 Year 1 Annual Fee.
    So far, I have not been charged annual fee. The new credit card has already appeared on my HSBC app. Note, I have HSBC debit card account. Hopefully, they will honor this offer.

    So after nearly a month with 2 calls to them (both being told that still under processing), this morning i called them and told them to that by 1st Feb, they must either approve or reject so i can move to a different bank. Told them that I'm about to go on holiday so need credit card to spend. Told them this is unacceptable for their approval team taking so long when it was clearly they have all the required docs already.

    Within 1hr i got the alert that the application has been approved and the card is on the way.

    Could anyone explain what does Australian resident in "Who can apply?" mean?
    Does it mean Australian citizen & permanent resident?
    Or also include temporary resident?

        Seems like I'm not eligible as TR is excluded. Step 3 it asks if I'm PR and I picked no, then review page says I'm not resident of Australia. Don't want to risk a hit on my credit score so I'm gonna wait when I get my PR grant.

          I hit my spend after about 2 weeks of getting the card, so ive been waiting about 3 weeks for the points. My 2nd statement came out, but no bonus points yet either.

          This is my 2nd time churning the card and the first time i churned it came out just before the 2nd statement. Not sure if hsbc allocates the bonus points randomly haha

          EDIT: I contacted HSBC live chat via the app, who confirmed I have met the eligible spend, but "The bonus points are credited after 90 days from when the account was opened when the minimum eligible transactions are met." Not sure if this is a general policy or something new.. Will update if I receive the points earlier.

    Just messaged HSBC support through the chat function on the app to see if I hit the eligibility, this was the reply:
    "Thank you for holding, —-. Upon checking, I can see that your account is not eligible for the bonus points rewards."

    I was an existing customer and the app shows I've earnt 5000 points which equates to over 3k spend. Be wary.

        No fee charged. The agent just replied:

        "My apologies as I have overlooked on the code in your account.

        There is a misunderstanding, but I have confirmed that your account is eligible for the 120k bonus rewards points. It will be credited within 60 days after the spending criteria has been met."

        It appears there is no issue with tracking for me.

    I spoke to the live chat today to request the offer if this is still available, as I just took out a homeloan with HSBC
    They confirmed that the bonus points offer is no longer available :(
    It was a decent deal given you could use your points for cash as opposed to gift cards

      Wouldn’t trust a thing their reps say. Had to call a bunch of times trying to verify something on my application, got a different person each time and different answer each time, one scolded me for even calling the number (which was listed on the email I received), saying I should have called the credit card applications number.

      Until the link goes there is no reason to suggest it wouldn’t be honoured.
