These are pretty terrible to be honest.

I have alot of headphones/headsets.. and these are the worst.

I strongly disagree with this statement

      • I also strongly disagree.

  • How does this compare with an Xbox Wireless headset, despite their incompatibility with a PlayStation?

    • I have the PS4 Gold (which I assume is mostly the same apart from design) and the new Xbox headset.

The Gold has better audio and is more comfortable. It uses a USB dongle which is both a blessing and a curse.
The pleather likes to flake off onto your head but I have had mine for years so it's unfair to compare to the Xbox which is new.

The Xbox has Bluetooth and better battery life. It has a better microphone system including sidetone but right now the sidetone is not very good.

      • My experience with the Golds was I found the USB dongle losses connection when using on a computer if you're not within 3-4ft of it (no obstructions) and especially if you have the control side of the headset facing the opposite direction. It's pretty bad and might as well just be a tethered headset.

Just my experience I wont be buying another USB dongle headset because of that unless it has its own power source.

        • I never found mine to be that bad but I will say the Xbox headset has quite a bit better range than the Sony.

Personally rated the PS4 Gold's over these for overall comfort and use. If you got a larger size head the top presses down a bit on the top of your skull. I've got average size ears and they just fit within the cups. For those with Dan Andrew's shaped/sized ears, steer clear of it!

Was disappointed to still need to use a USB dongle for these when connecting to a ps5. Should of just stuck to the Sony wmx-4's

  • $124 at Good Guys Commercial if you have an account there.
I think the sound is good, feels a bit "cheap" though especially after I've used the Xbox wireless headset.

  • These are a bit awkward from a fit perspective - I've got a fairly decent sized melon - with that rubber strap, but sound-wise they are excellent.

I use them with my PS5 and I've tested against the PS4 gold and a few other headphones I have around the place (some Bose QC25, OK a bit dated now but reasonable, some Ultrasone 860, and a few different types of in-ear monitors I have), and these allow you to pinpoint sound a lot more accurately in games like Call of Duty where it's important.

Overall sound reproduction is good, I've got no complaints aside from the fit.

    • Sure. But why buy these over the Arctis 1 Wireless or Cooler Master MH670 when both are much more comfortable and sound better.

Arctis 1 Wireless Xbox version also works on all consoles.

  • Thanks, think this is the lowest its been. Grabbed a pair!
