  With some trepidation I ended out buying one of these. I never thought a robot vacuum would be any good but a friend had one but a different brand and she said hers was "ok".

  As it turns out I am very impressed with this one. It does its job very well and cleans the whole house. Initially it was running every night and the relatively small cassette was FULL of dust each morning. After a fortnight I have reduced the time to 5 nights a week and he (Robby) only has his cassette 1/3 full by the mornings. He has great brush actions and a fairly power vacuum motor for its size.

  The WiFi phone app did not work initially and despite hours on the internet and emails to the help desk at Ecovacs, which were never answered, I did eventually get it going without their help. The app isn't needed to operate the vacuum but it has convenient settings. Alexa still refuses to play with Robby which again is not necessary, but merely a convenience. Don't bother asking Ecovacs for their help. The description above brags bout fantastic customer support - what a joke.

  I am now insisting that my daughter and another friend buy one of these as they are very useful and I highly recommend Robby.

  This deal include accessories but they aren't specified.
  Edit: I'm not certain if these are the same accessories offered by Amazon when I bought Robby for the same price a month ago. This eBay advert doesn't list them but mine came with an extra main brush, 4 side brushes, 3 paper filters and a foam filter.

    Hi I read your comment regarding using the WiFi app. Doesn't work for me and I've stuffed around forever. Are you able to advise me as to what you did to get it working?

      Hi Oraserat, I did get both the iPhone App and Alexa to communicate in the end.

      In the App you add the robot. You need to use the remote and push the connect to WiFi using the middle button on the bottom row. From the App you should be prompted to enter the network name and password. This is where mine came unstuck as the small blue light flashed indicating it wasn't connected properly. I went through the manual method as described in the help section of the App, by first going to my laptop and looking to see if the robot was transmitting its name over WiFi. Once I found it's name I manually connected the iPhone to the robot using its network name with a blank password. The Robot has a name and includes a 4 digit number but it doesn't have a password attached or an encryption method. Once the iPhone was connected I then swapped back to the App and used the Wifi network in the house. This didn't work on the first few occasions.

      You know the robot is connected correctly to the network when the blue light is on but not flashing. This did not happen on the first few occasions.

      It was only later the Alexa learned how to play with the robot. You need to download the ecovacs skill. You can then say "Alexa, ask DEEBOT to start cleaning." or you can write a routine that includes that phrase. I wrote two routines to tell Alexa to "start vacuum" (or "stop vacuum" and she replies "OK. now your deebot is charging" and it goes back to the charging station and turns off.)

      The whole process was convoluted but I know I'll be repeating it as my daughter and a girl friend have both bought one.
