Microsoft 365 Family 6 PC or Mac 1 Year Subscription (Email License) $97 (RRP $129) + Surcharge @ SaveOnIT

190

Thanks to @mmjjbb for pointing this out!

Now that Google Photos will end its free unlimited storage on June 1st, 2021, Microsoft OneDrive is cheaper than Google One…

And it is an opportunity to claim in taxes this year.

If someone found a better option for storing photos please let us know in the comments…

Microsoft 365 is a subscription that includes the most collaborative, up-to-date features in one seamless, integrated experience. Microsoft 365 includes the robust Office desktop apps that you're familiar with, like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

You also get extra online storage and cloud-connected features that let you collaborate on files in real-time.

With a subscription, you'll always have the latest features, fixes, and security updates along with ongoing tech support at no extra cost.

You can choose to pay for your subscription on a monthly or yearly basis, and the Microsoft 365 Family plan lets you share your subscription with your family for up to 6 people, and use your apps on multiple PCs, Macs, tablets, and phones.

Good price, but the RRP is false. The RRP is $129.

And the linked product is the electronic key version so no freight even when normal.

Worth checking if you have access to Microsoft HUP through your employer. MS is currently offering 50% off (RRP) there for first time users 30% off for existing users till 16th June.

    Let me clear this.
Family edition can be shared with other 5 users so total 6 users.
Each user gets 1tb of storage.
Each user can install in 5 devices.
So total devices can be 6×5=30.
And total storage can be 6×1tb per user.

    And you can topup subscriptions.

  • Seems like it will dip below 90 at least once a year. I still have 11 more months to go, I think I will wait.

    • Yes, but I have only two days to get my photos out of Google… lol

      • haha!

      • Why do you need to get your photos "out of Google"?

        • Yes, why?

Existing High quality photos and videos are exempt from this change

          • @[Deactivated]: Because I prefer to have all photos in one place and as each new photo will count as space I prefer paying less at Microsoft

  • Possibility of price beat at officeworks?

Note that you can pay with PayID to avoid a surcharge for CC or Paypal.

Just a warning to everyone, make sure you use a unique password on the Save on IT website that you don't use anywhere else. Upon confirming your account, they send you your password in plain text which means they store passwords in plain text in their backend which is a huge red flag from a security point of view.

    • LastPass is the way to go. Cheers!

      • Or Bitwarden :D
