Free - AirMagic Software for Drone Photography (automatic photo enhancement) - Skylum.com

160

Some free photography software for those of you that have drones or are interested in getting a drone in the future.
The software automatically enhances pictures taken by the drone.
Can also be used as plugin for Lightroom or Photoshop I think.
Just put in your name (or whatever you like) and your e-mail (use a temporary one if you like but it needs to work as they will send you a download link).
A real e-mail is needed if you wish to store your activation information.

From the website:

What is AirMagic?

AirMagic is the world’s first fully automated photo editing software tailored for aerial photography. The app enhances images automatically using Artificial Intelligence and advanced image enhancement technologies.

After detecting the drone camera used to produce an image, AirMagic makes lens corrections and other camera-specific optimizations. The app uses smart algorithms and Artificial Intelligence to analyze each picture, then applies adjustments such as color reveal, haze removal, and sky enhancement to make each photo look its best.

All you need to do is drag and drop your photos to the app. AirMagic takes care of the rest.

The full version of AirMagic supports:

  • Batch processing
  • Setting the intensity of AirMagic adjustments with the Boost slider
  • AirMagic plugins for Photoshop and Lightroom
  • Saving enhanced photos to your computer in a desired format and quality
  • Styles are presets that improve the look and feel of your images.

Skylum is a terrible company and I would never buy software from them again

Good thing this is free then ;-)

    • Strongly disagree. I use their software in a professional capacity almost every day. Had nothing but success with their products and would gladly buy them again.
You’ve obviously had a negative experience. May I ask for more detail?

      • Purchased their photo editing software luminar 3 as they promised catalogs in a free upgrade. They choose to prioritise other features first then when they finally released it it didn’t work, totally unusable. They apparently fixed it in a subsequent release and wanted more money to fix what should have worked already. I’m not sure it really was fixed in version 4. They have since dropped the product. Their new direction appears to be to only offer it as a plugin. Perhaps they have learned? Given their support would not listen previously it seems unlikely.

To be fair if you only ever used luminar as a plug-in it was probably fine. It worked as a plug-in for me but that wasn’t the reason l bought it

    • What makes them terrible? Genuinely curious.

  • Requires you to give them access to your contacts.

What do you mean by that?

You need to give them your email address. They don’t access your contacts but. I’ve had Skylum products for years and don’t get any email after opting out too.

  • what about being from a drone makes it different to enhance?

  • I don't mind giving them my email address, however, when you download the software from the offer and try to install it, it says can't connect.
Forcing you to go to their website for the software.
This only allows access after you agree to give them access to your contacts.

    • Can’t speak for the Windows release, but the Mac version doesn’t require this. Contact access is an OS level permission on Macs so easily checked, and there’s no Skyrim products requesting access on my system.
