ASUS ROG Falchion Cherry Blue Keyboard $149.50 + Delivery + Payment Surcharge @ Mwave

100

Got a price drop notification, much better price than the last time this dropped. There have been a few compact keyboards going lately but I reckon this is the best.

2.4 GHz wireless

Cherry MX RGB mechanical switches (Blue)

400-hour battery life (RGB off)

This was the review I linked last time - https://au.pcmag.com/keyboards/86413/asus-rog-falchion-wirel…

Amazon has the keyboard from US at $216.76 - https://www.amazon.com.au/ASUS-Falchion-Wireless-Mechanical-…

Non-standard spacebar length so you'll have a hard time finding new keycaps if the stock ones ever wear out.
edit: Backspace, pipe, enter and right shift are all 0.25u shorter than standard as well, so replacing them is definitely not gonna happen

    • yeah but look how pretty it is

Not saying its not haha, just a heads up for people that might not think about that sort of thing

        • Yeah it's a good point, one I never would have thought of. I get enthusiasts want to customise their keys but I wouldn't be fiddling with RGB Cherry keys, I don't even know what would be better. Also, by the time my keyboards see any wear I'm getting a new one… maybe I'm the problem

what's with all these keyboard deals? there are more keyboards in Australia than GPU's and CPU's!

    • weird times

  • Desperately need a new keyboard, I'm sick of my S falling off mid gun-fight. Have seen a few of these compacts posted but am not sure it's what i'm looking for. Are the keys themselves the same sizes?

How close is the battery life quote to real life use?
I havn't seen another wireless kb that quotes even close to that.
Any alternative decent life wireless kb?

    • I don't know about this specific board but the new Razer 65% claims 200hrs battery life. The G915 doesn't have a claim for battery life with RGB off but I found some review sites claiming over 1000hrs.

Wish other switch types were on sale too. Cherry MX Blue's are pretty loud
